About this pack:
This pack was originally to appease my insatiable hunger toward making this game as realistic as possible. What started as a compilation of other mods became a new texture pack of it's own.

I had a few personal requests to do these lower resolution textures. They still need heavy refinements but still came out pretty decent with the downsampling. I won't be doing compressed versions of these since it would simply be redundant.

An interesting aggregation. Always nice to see another 128 pack arrive on the scene.
A few comments...
First, thanks for crediting your sources!
If you did any work on these yourself I wouldn't know it. Listing the tiles that you personally did would allow me to understand what you've done so that I might comment on those specifically. There's no point in my telling you I think the doors look great if you didn't create those tiles ( I do by the way ;^)
If you listed the tiles / elements that others created specifically it would help others to know the sources if they like those particular pieces. I know your focus is on your pack, but others coming after you will pick and choose from your pack just as you have. It's nice to get credit for your specific work not just a general "Scuttles gets credit for some of this". I ask for credits to offer readers a way to find my pack if they like elements from it, not for personal satisfaction.
There's a missing row of pixels under your pink cloth.
Stylistically, it seems pretty dark in the stones and ores department. I haven't played it yet so take that with a grain of salt. I like the high level of detail, but the books look very busy at 100% in the terrain.png. i'm wondering if that is lessened or amplified in-game.
I'll add this to my collection of 128 packs and when I've had a chance to play it I'll return with a more informed opinion.

You're quite welcome and I hope you don't mind me using some of your textures such as the doors which, frankly, are very well done. I'll try and get around to posting specifically what each of the artists such as yourself play as a role in this texture pack.
As for what I've done, this mostly includes the all of the minerals and stones, grass, all of the trees, the hd cracking pattern. I'll probably post a changelog as things progress.
Good eye! I'll fix that some time today. I'm pretty busy with college.
I realize that they are quite dark textures and after extensive amounts of trial and error, it seemed to just work. The books were borrowed from another pack and I can't remember which one. If some does know, please inform me as I can't find it on my laptop anymore.
Feels good to be part of the collection and I hope to impress more people with the coming days.
One thing I do like in others texture packs that do in fact do this is 'light up the minerals" a lot. Sadly yours are quite dark. If you make them have a higher glow or brighten them up more that'd be great.
Other than that I love your texture package 'bundle'. It's a job well done :smile.gif: I just like seeing the minerals I harvest pop out, like DIAMOND! :smile.gif: I get so excited when I find them, but some of the packages I've tried int he past they didn't brighten them up.
You'll probably have to find the appropriate texture patcher for that specific version of alpha. Other than that I don't see why this pack wouldn't work. It would just have many unused blocks which shouldn't affect gameplay.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try to mess around with the minerals to make them pop out more as you said. I agree you with completely as they are very dark and quite lacking. Expect a possible update in the coming days. I'll be gone all day tomorrow with my little sister, she has a dance competition 4 hours away from where I live...
I'm actually working right now I'm some new textures for all of the new stuff. As of right now everything should work in beta 1.2, except for the arrow box.
By "not putting ladders in", does that mean that it uses the normal texture?
The ladders default to an invisible texture because one isn't present. I'm finally home so I'll be updating this more for 1.2 beta, but still isn't complete.
Also:
MrMMods is recommended as it isn't necessary and chews up more fps for a better looking game.
Go ahead and read that sentence a few times.
Yea, it was 2 in the morning when I wrote that. It seems 90% of that sentence is redundant...
What version are you running and what problems are you encountering
Quote from wco »
This is an excellent texture compilation. Thank you so much for putting this together.
Quite welcome. Hope you enjoy this pack.
Quote from TheArcher »
It appears that you've gotten rid of the ladder problem. I hope this texture pack looks as good as it looks here.
Yea.. that ladder problem has been there for about 2 weeks even before I release a beta version. Well, the screenshots aren't edited in any way so I hope you find it as impressive in game.
Hey, i think i might use this altho it will probs slow down the game alot. Stupid laptop. Anyways i was thinking maybe the redstone circuits could become more like wires wrapped around with a black tie or something. The only problem would be showing when its on or off. But if you like the idea ill try to think of something
THX. So something like that but obviously red

This is actually an entirely new texture pack but I'm far too lazy to create a new thread. Please give constructive criticism as this is a really rough beta and I need helping finding the negative aspects.

Please notify me if I missed an artist after more of this pack is pieced together.
How did you like the pack and any recommendations for fixes?

Also:
Go ahead and read that sentence a few times.
The ladders default to an invisible texture because one isn't present. I'm finally home so I'll be updating this more for 1.2 beta, but still isn't complete.
Yea, it was 2 in the morning when I wrote that. It seems 90% of that sentence is redundant...
What version are you running and what problems are you encountering
Quite welcome. Hope you enjoy this pack.
Yea.. that ladder problem has been there for about 2 weeks even before I release a beta version. Well, the screenshots aren't edited in any way so I hope you find it as impressive in game.
Thank you for the support. I have some updates and fixes coming tomorrow morning (EST).
THX.
