I have recently tried to create a custom texture pack containing various changes, unfortunately when trying to use this new pack it just keeps everything default.
What are the things I should be looking for or include in my texture pack to make sure that it actually works?
*Note that I unpacked the latest minecraft.jar to make sure that I was including the new textures since the patch*
I used to have the same problem, but I re-ziped the texture pack and renamed it to "Not the Default.zip". I not sure why it worked but I won't question it! XD

Nice necroposting. Right on the spot. This is also not a compliment.

Do I need to include more information about what I am doing/have done?

Why is the so much necroposting all of a sudden?
