Amazing texture pack. Probably the best ive seen. Only problem i have is that netherrack have to be more red. If you do that, sir, you can have all the diamonds in the world.
the nether in the texture pack is inside the destroyed moon
A quick question; Does this change more than the textures? While I love this pack, it causes me to crash in smp.
Orange Anything here, (I'm doing the sound for this pack
as well as helping History
with some of the textures.
I can answer any questions
pertaining the pack.)
The texture pack download contains only the texture pack, the mods are separate.
We made it so anyone downloading this pack had the option to acquire mods separately, so anyone who only wanted the texture pack wouldn't get spammed with unwanted mods.
I'm waiting this answer too, I'm not going to play until minecraft again until I can play with this pack.
__EDIT__
I just tried it, and it gives me a black screen when I try to get into minecraft, so it is not working :sad.gif:. Please fix this as soon as possible, I wanna play minecraft!
Sharing this with my favorite texture pack artists.
Nothing special, just a lovely little edit to make the 'wolf' more like a 'coyote'. It bothers me that the 'wolf' is the size of a dog and barks like one. But dogs aren't really found in the wild. So...
Coyote! Or dingo, for you Australian lot.
Eyes are black when wild, red when angry, and blue when tamed.
And yes, the tame skin has indeed been upsized, though I haven't changed anything on it.
They say forest or taiga biomes, but I've found them anywhere with light and trees. They ARE rare though, and usually take a few days of searching and multiple bones.

This is accurate. If you're lucky, it will take one bone. If not, it could potentially take very large numbers (I've had one wolf reject six in a row). I find most are tamed after 2-3 bones. It's not a counter. Just a random chance.
Biomes seem to spawn them in packs, so if you can find one, you've likely found 4-8.
I will have a 1.4 update soon. My weekends are a bit hectic but I will try to get the wolf done ASAP.. as for as the new sprites go... I will just be carrying the default cookies and whatnot into the current items file.
I know some of you may be hoping for a robot.. but as of now it is probably going to be a mangy looking dog. The angry wolf skin will look rabid. The reason I want to go with a dog is.. I can not legitimize a robot shaking itself off after exiting the water, and I feel that making it anything other then a dog is a missed opportunity. Perhaps this is just because I am a dog person.. but I think ultimately it will satisfy.
Lore:
Many residents of the cocoon attempted to bring their household pets with them but were forced to set them free on the island before taking residence in the cocoon. left to their own devices the now wild dogs formed packs and roamed the wastes. Over the years the would eventually breed into a single mixed breed and their numbers would dwindle. Now many of these dogs roam the wastes without a pack to follow and make for the perfect companion in this desolate world.

Hey History, awesome pack. I was wondering if you could put my server, themed after your pack, under the servers, for a bit of promotion :biggrin.gif:. Thanks man, here's the link to the thread viewtopic.php?f=1025&t=244322
I'm currently working on the sounds for the dog.
At the moment I'm deciding between a few avenues to go down for the dogs sound, but it should be too long until it's done.

Quick question, Is this compatible with 1.4 yet?

And I can't find the post but whoever said netherrack needs to be more red it wouldn't make sense if it was
Netherrack is moon dust.
