History, I am going to make a comedy series placed in the post apocalyptic world of southern california, right now cam studio is giving me troubles, and I'm intending on buying fraps, but I have scipts written out already. Just wanted to let you know. (P.S. It's not a let's play!)
Sorry everyone. I have been fairly sick recently but I am getting better so I will start catching up on replies.
It is worth noting that I have contacted doku about this pack since he is back in action. I am hoping to continue work on this pack but If he does not wish me to I will respect his wishes. I don't anticipate any problems since he did say he was releasing the WIP for "anyone to use as they see fit " on his thread.

thank you. The Ghast sounds were my quick work.. it was really more of a concept test innitial. I am not the primary sound designer on this project. My friend Orange_Anything is doing the majority of the sound work and did the pig,cow,chickin, and zombie that are currently included.

noted. the directions are all together but not on the OP. you must download the sound mod enabler to get the bw.class.

Someone asked about the sheep. The sheep are a simple machine created by Orbital Industries with an electromagnet at its center. They called it The Attractive Wares Retriever. It was often referred to as The Mag for convenience. It's function was to roam to wastes attracting metal scraps or supplies. After gathering a defined weight, The AWR would drop of it's inventory and head out looking for more. After the cocoons died out however, The AWR had no body to deliver the metal to so it would just keep roaming the land never dropping its supplies unless someone took them manually.
Since the AWR gathers many mechanical and electrical parts. technology can be forged by combining the scraps with various parts(dyes) from many objects in the wastes.
Okay, so after confirming that this is cool with doku, I have started refining the terrain for the next update. currently my goal is to have the terrain finished for the next update. As loath as I am to alter any of doku's original work. the tree's may have to become trees sometime soon. The reason for this is that green scrap shacks are not very good for immersion. I have attempted to make the birch shacks into a camouflage version however it simply doesn't fit.
it makes me laugh that on all your posts you act like your new to this thread. (besides the bump posts of course) idk why i just find it funny >.> anyways guys. the servers pritty much up. just updating forum thread the turning server on.
im not sure if im gonna do mods untill someone can tell me if i get the sdk mod on the server thing will everyone have to have sdk gun mod?
It's called the Underdark, it was a multiplayer map and after the storyline ran out it was released for singleplayer.
It's a huge underground complex, no true surface to be found. The map maker put an enormous amount of work into it, and players really carved it into something cool.
I ran my copy through MCedit and removed all normal torches. This makes it super dark and scary, with light only from glowstone and lava and redstone torches.
This map goes great with Humans+, Mo'Creatures, and Minegunner. It's a lot like being in a long-abandoned mining colony, teeming with mutants and savages... and you have to search through abandoned buildings for supplies and weapons.
It's super fun. If anyone wants I'll post up my torches-removed version.

Make sure you use the other mods I mentioned too! I reskinned several of the Humans+ npc's to be more post-apoc'y, for my own use, I can upload them if you'd like. Less like knights and samurai, more like wasteland barbarians.
I'll link to the no-torches version once I've run it through MCedit again, you probably don't want my current map as it is.
Another thing I forgot, the Carryable Torches or Mining Helmets mods are almost must-haves IMO.

New? What do you mean with that? Ye the sdk gun mods is kinda sad because everybody on the server needs to have it downloaded!
So, i dunno if you know about the Compound map, but I've been playing that particular adventure map with this texture pack, and its amazing! I've literally played for 5 minutes and I think I'll just keep it activated forever (which may also be due in part to the fact I don't know how to turn it of...).
My only complain is that the torches don't shine very much light. Now, this may have been the original idea, but I an't play Minecraft n fullscreen, and starining my eyes at the screen to see what I'm doing isn't very fun either.
That said, I've only been playing in a map that's underground, so I don't have a comparison for the outside world yet. :tongue.gif:

Trees should stay scrap shacks. Actual trees would look horrible in post apocalypse

One warning about the Underdark map, I can't play with view distance greater than short. Annoying but not game killing.
