Yeah, As I said, it takes about 10-20 seconds to switch from one minecraft.jar with last days, to another one with another texture pack. It's not tedious.
Also "Y SO GRAMER NASSI."
It is tedious (definition) for these folks. What right have you to tell them that they aren't irritated by something? Furthermore, what right have you to tell them they aren't welcome to their own opinion? That being said, folks, suck it up and patch the game. The 16x is coming after the 32x pack is finished, and the 32x is not finished. I'm surprised History offered to redraw every single sprite for 16x. It's a lot of work that most people don't do.
Gosh. People argue about the dumbest things.

Personally, I just drop the files in my texture folder. I don't care if one or two blocks are missing a texture.

Sir, you won the internet, i want this so bad. I like the idea of it being more than a mod, and I love the Fallout feel to it, the best Fallout themed mod/textures i have ever seen.
Also, for mod support, is there a way to make TooManyItems and HD Texture fix work together? They both invalidate eachother.
If I am ever looking for a coder I will keep you in mind. Actually, There is one thing I had in mind. I am not sure exactly how possible it is.
A mod for game play for this pack that I think would make sense is for the player to taking drowning damage in the nether if not wearing a full suit of gold armor. On top of that gold armor would provide lava (toxic waste) resistance... again only if a full suit. What I would do is make gold armor into The OI Combo Space/HazMat worn by the zombie pigmen, which was also explain why they are not hostile until provoked.
Yes, it is possible. It's actually a very simple change. I already wrote up two versions of the mod. In the first version, the player is treated as though they are underwater in the Nether (the bubbles appear, and when you run out, you start taking drown damage). In the second version, the player immediately takes damage. I've found that this kills players extremely quickly, so I reduced the amount the player takes each tick in both cases to half of the usual damage.
I love the pack, but the trees aren't really tress, they are just like boards. I wish they were real trees, just with a lower color scheme. Also the water is too contaminated, even In Fallout 3 the water was cleaner, let alone New Vegas.
Also, is there anyway to use this with TooManyItems? When I install the mod then use HD texture fix it overwrites the mod, ive tried it in reverse too, no luck.

Not sure if it's related to these particular files, or if it's a Sound Mod Enabler issue, but my music is cutting out. Everything else works fine, but the music will start playing, then immediately stop. Any ideas?

Nope. They are direct conflicts.
Well I managed to force them to work together.. perhaps a certain order of operations allows it to work some how. I wouldn't know how that could happen, I know very little about coding.. But As that picture shows.. it can be done.
I am going to be changing things around as I go along. This is the new stone-back skin. For the most part I am focusing on finishing and polishing the terrain right now but I am also working on other thing intermittently.. there a number of things to do.. and everything could use a good once over.

Bump for epicness.
I've been using this pack since it first came oyt, and haven't changed it back since. AMAZING job, and I can't wait for it to be finished, AND the friday update. May I ask, what are most of the electronical blocks on the image on the OP? Gold blocks etc?
Oh, and I guess I'll give a dia- 5 diamonds, even though it seems noobish to me.
Also, I've been thinking about doing both a signature and trailer for this. Would you like that, History?
That sound great. I would highly suggest setting the trailer to this song
I hope you do decide to do it. definitely post it on here when you are done if you do.
That gave me an idea. I could do it like the Fallout trailers. The music is 'playing' from a Jukebox, and the camera starts to zoom away, and presents you the other stuff. It would be just a little laggy, since my PC isn't that powerful, but while filming I'd get between 30 - 60 FPS.
If you do this, you win 3 internets. Seriously, I always loved these trailers.
I just got to the nether and I have to say it looks amazing. The zombie pigmen look awesome but I don't really think the skin fits them they don't look undead and doesn't really fit the feel, I would say have some skin exposed on the skin. I love this texture, but I don't like the 'leaves'.

if your gonna use a fallout theme for the trailer use I dont want to set the world on fire not the song history gave. dang you history and your not knowing of good music >.>
Well I love the pack, and I love the little robot bird thingys! It seems like more than just a texture pack, and If you integrated the flying squids mob with decreased spawns, it could be like a patrol bot, but I don't think I would download it unless it was integrated.
Thats my next thing, i think there should be an .exe installer, it wouldn't be easy to make, but it would make the lives of many Minecrafters easier, and it would also be easier to incorporate mods. I can't really tell if this is a texture pack or a mod, its that good, which is why I feel you should go beyond the textures and make a full-fledged mod. With TFC's mod manager it would be even easier than the .exe install, but if you intend to keep in in the realm of textures and sound, your still doing a great job.
To be honest, I don't think the music fits.
The reason it worked with fallout is because they were going for dark humor.
I haven't looked into the lore you guys have come up with for this mod, but I'm assuming it's not humorous.
I did something similar a few months ago, although it was more inspired by Doom, rather than Fallout.
-snippers-
It's the same concept, but the choice of music makes it much more gloomy.
If you go for a more calm love song rather than an upbeat and cheery tune, you are more likely to induce a sense of dread.
Filmmaking is a passion of mine, so if you guys want help regarding cinematography, trailers, or general filmmaking theory, feel free to send a PM or something.
That was FANTASTIC!!!!
Actually incredible! I don't know what it was for, but that was just.... wow...
I definitely think you should make a video for this pack!
