There may be other things included, depending on what I am able to finish tonight and early tomorrow.
There is still a good amount of work for me to do on this pack. I have had less time then usual to work on it this past week but I have still put time in every day. While this release does not have everything by any means I will be continuing to put together occasional (possibly weekly) releases until the pack is done. Hopefully I will be able to include the sheep tomorrow but there is still a good bit to do on it. I am looking for input on how to treat things such as Saplings, Flowers, Musrooms, Reeds, Wheat, Mushrooms, and BOOKSHELVES. I am Also Planning for snow to be something in the vain of zerg creep in that it is an organic material that gathers in large amounts in selected areas. Ice will be what happens when that material comes into contact with water, and pine trees will be some sort of extension of this life form. The issue is simply that I have not figured out how to convey all this in a believable and visually appealing way yet.
For those interested in sound, you can prepare by installing the "Mod Sound Enabler" in advance. viewtopic.php?f=25&t=141760#SME

One thing:
:biggrin.gif:
"the best" is opinion..one person may think fallout 1 was best another may think fallout 2..another fallout 3..see where im going with this? there is no "best" of anything.
Yeah, I know what you mean, but you also cannot boldly say that Fallout 3 is the most well known and best post-apocalyptic game out there, you know what I mean.

The first thing that comes to mind for bookshelves are computer monitors, or possibly server towers. That way you can have security rooms! Saplings might work as some sort of "auto-builder assembly hub" sort of thing that "builds" the scrap shacks from the bottom up, but that doesn't fit with the canon itself. Flowers and mushrooms work probably work best as irradiated weeds or clumps of grass. I love the idea of "creep" for snow, I honestly hadn't thought of something that radical. What about sand or dust? In a wasteland there's sure to be lots of free flying dust and dirt that would make sandstorms believable. Not sure how ice would fit in with that, though.

yeah.. I have been fussing with what to do with snow ice and pines or while. since they are always together I figured what ever I do with them should involve coordinating all of those elements.
To the above comment... I have no idea what the problem is. Try installing by placing in the texture pack folder and carrying the animations over manually. Make sure you have it set to 32x32 and that you have custom water/lava selected.

That's a neat idea for snow, etc. I am assuming you don't like the nanobots idea. Perhaps you can go with a post-apocalyptic Bacterium that has mutated or evolved into a multicellular form, and collects in "globs" feeding off of what is left of the land. It is somewhat purple in color, and when the bacterium spreads over water it collects in a thick clump that floats on the surface, similar to pre-war algae, except that its bond is thick enough to hold weight and has a slightly slippery surface. Somewhere in the bacterium's evolution it has developed a sort of collective intelligence and has begun building "clusters" where it stores its food inside containers made of scrap from the surrounding area. These clusters, in the shape of cones above the surface, provide adequate storage for their food to be safe from the radiation.
The only thing it needs is a proper name...
EDIT: The Dredge
and it could look something like this combined with this.
As for the wheat, I still think it should be some sort of fungus or mold, that would have been able to survive. And the seeds would then become spores. And reeds would all depend on what you want bookshelves to be, as I stated in an earlier post, so I think it is best to start from there and work backwards.
Wheat might be able to work as-is, with the changes made to the final end-product(bread, soup, cake, etc.). Instead of crafting bread, you're crafting MRE's and Emergency Rations.
Or to help build on the MRE idea, wheat could be turned into a growing pile of self-replicating nutrients(or piles of food), needing tilled grass blocks to look like some sort of food replicator, and hoes turned into some kind of wrench to represent installing the machines in the soil.
A little insight on how snow biomes and plantlife MAY be. Just a suggestion addict here.
Snowy Biome=Texture Pack Convert=Trash World "Some time after the Huggatron, Orbital Industries took the task of removing garbage, improving the world. This project was scrapped, but when the moon exploded, the crates were thrown in the garbage dumps, along with any unstable machinery. The first plan of Orbital Industries was to minimize the garbage to an atomic level and can't be seen by the naked eye. This made trash invisible, but also a threat to being inhaled. So, they made the atoms more close together in a machine which produced random forms called 'flakies' that would form a compound much like snow. Also, these recycled trash bits can be collected and can form a semi-solid wall. The second plan of Orbital Industries was to use water, to 'freeze' bacteria and viruses'. Lastly, they had created 'recycled' shacks from the 'flakies'."
Plantlife
Crops=Texture Pack Convert=Quick Start Rations QSR it was usually called. Quick Start Rations are nanobots with the task of constructing organic treats. These have been able to produce ration biscuits that heal some health of the lucky survivor. The QSR was a big success considering it had a long term effect on a users life span.
