Love it. Lots of random noise. It reminds me of the spacecraft / giygas themes in Earthbound.

nice sound man it sounds wicked still did the people of orbital industries terraform the moon? since there isnt an atmosphere on the moon winds cant occur unless the people of orbital industries terraformed the moon.
All that Orbital Industries would have to do is introduce gasses to the crevices of the moon (e.g. exhaust) and the wind would continue to move until it is stopped by another force. So if I built a nuclear power plant underneath the surface of the moon, the exhaust would continue to push upward until released at the surface.
The Nether Sounds Amazing Just That strange buzzing would put me off going there because id barely be able to hear ghast shots and stuff :S
And Also The Texture Pack Aint Workin :sad.gif:
Thank you to everyone in regards to the sound. I hoped that people would like it. Like I said, Its not my area of expertise. I will tone down the ambiance so that ghast's shots are more audible. The Ambiance is actually just passive ghast sounds but I made the clips about six seconds long so there is usually overlap. That's why the sound is constant. Also, wind is not actually exactly what I was going for, and it does register better in game. That video was not the best quality by any means. The sound that people are calling wind is really supposed to be the SecurAlls propulsion systems
I love this texture pack, however i am having glitches with SDK mods, where the cannon is part of the snow, the random boxes are the snow, and netherrack is water from the original default texture, also gravel looks like a random box.... also could you make the basic cloth whiter than the light gray? maybe? idk lol thanks
history. when you said that instead of using MC patcher i just copy them to the jar.file it sounds helpful. but i only got one problem in mind:the pesky fire on gold and water in the nether >.>
Fire as in on fire or fire as in a corner of texture displays the fire animation?
If it's the latter then it's only fixable by using the patcher as far as I know. : \

It is possible to use the pack by placing it in the texture pack fold and carrying the custom water/lava and teh biome color files to the jar directly. However there is no way to fix those issues without the HD texture patch which I link to in the install instructions. This is not specific to my pack. It occurs with any pack higher than 16x16.
and I probably will edit the wool.
EDIT: You also need use the patcher to see the water/lava animations even if you carry them over manually. The Only advantage to doing it this way is it easier to switch back to default simply by having the default misc folder backed up.
placing the backup back in the jar, and deleting the animations. The animations are programed into the HD patcher. It is the only way to make them work.
You, sir, are a lifesaver! I don't know how long I've been looking for a post-apocalyptic skin like this.
Can't wait till it's finished!
7 internets to you, good sir!
I was just playing on the server dedicated to this pack http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1025&t=162625&p=2632441#p2632441 when I had the idea that sugarcane could be iron poles (mayby sticking out of a concrete block if thats possible?) that you weld together into a sheet (paper) that you then combine with corogated iron (wood) to create a kind of scrap barrier wall thing.

But what will sugar be then?
Mushed up concrete would be my guess.
Then what would cake be then?Other than my grandma's
But to this pack
Reeds could potentially be some sort of mutated vine. Sugar could instead be a type of sweet sap and the vines while dried could still be used for paper.
Personally though, I use bookshelves a lot for aesthetics so I don't think I could easily do without them (not to mention existing maps would look funny afterward). Plus, when you think about it, books would be one of the most valuable things in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

Note that the books don't necessarily have to be books, since all they are used for is making bookshelves, which could be anything History wants it to be. So therefore, paper and books could be building blocks for this new item, which is purely decorational. Sugar for the sugarcanes is the most important to be somewhat preserved, since it is used to make cake, which is a game-useful item to restore health. So if we take your vine idea and use it (let's call vine "hemp" here to show my point better) hemp produces hempseed oil which can be used as a food ingredient, and can be twined to produce a fabric, that fabric can be combined to create canvas, and mixed with aluminum scrap to create... some awesome new block! (sorry, my right-brain is taking a smoke break atm).
So you see where I'm going with this? This is just one of many possible scenarios depending on what kind of vision History has going for bookshelves...
As far as current world saves, I don't see the point in supporting these for whatever crazy thing people have been using bookshelves for outside of decorating their house. LAST DAYS is intended to be a complete redesign of the world and lore of minecraft, anyway.
Haha oh my god I nostalgia'd when I heard the Quake 3 rockets. The MW2 tac-nuke bleep fits great too.
yes!
thank you dude here's 3 diamonds

Hazmat Suit Anyone?

Sounded like propulsion systems to me!

This is a very epic looking overhaul. I would love to have this whenever it's ready. Keep up the good work.(:
