Just checked out the newest OP, and like to say this project as a whole is looking sweet. One suggestion I might make is instead of calling them Bandits, you could call them "The Others" it sounds more ominous and not 1600's renaissance, and not to mention the allusion to LOST :wink.gif:
I voted for Mo' Creatures but personally I think Plastic Craft should get some support. Its features are much more suited to a more modern setting(batteries, microwaves, synthetic materials).
Wild grass is definately high on my list. Though it wont exactly be supported in my pre release, I have emptied out that part of the terrain file so that folks that have it installed won't have squares all over the place (assuming that's what happens)
as far as plastic craft goes.. I looked into it and it is definitely something to think about.

im pretty sure the grass works all in separate files now. i havent looked at the latest version cause i still have the old version working fine.
I am thinking of going with a cell shading style.. borderlands-esque.. this is obviously a rough version but I am sort of in favor of it at the moment.
The pack obviously has a surreal theme so giving it that comic book style feels well suited.

Ehrr, honestly it felt better without the lines. It was easier on the eyes for me. This does make things a bit more readable though.
It'd be nice if you could release both versions if possible, though. I have nothing against this one and it looks as nice as the original.
I don't think cell shading can be accomplished via textures. Cell shading is a 3D rendering technique which requires a certain graphics shader. There is a mod which makes Minecraft use GLSL, and perhaps there is a cell shader which would work with Minecraft.
Plus, I think it looks better without the thick black lines.

I was thinking of a duel release, This is just a thought, and only an hour or so went into the work, I am aware its not actually cell shading though.. I was just trying to describe the visual style (its 6:30 AM and I havn't slept yet)
this is just a few minutes of toning down.. (that is TNT and jack o' lantern by the way)

it's good for a couple hours, but i'm not sold on the shading, you probably could make it work, but i don't think it would fit the style as well as without it, it seems to dull the edges a lot and make things less defined, and if not done properly can make things seem messy and, for lack of a better word, crap.
Firstly, the cell shading is great and all that, but it doesn't fit with this pack at ALL. Even though it is a surreal pack, the subtlety of the original textures are better.
Secondly: I like the "Please Stay Tuned" TV better/
I would propose making the piggy a Medical Emergency Dispenser (MED).
These robots were used during the war and later modified for the COCOONS.
They malfunctioned, though, and no longer dispense supplies without being given a thorough beating.

Betterlight/grass are not "supportable" mods. They require nothing from a texture pack.
