I never said it was a 'Direct Carbon ****ing copy.' Don't put words in my mouth that aren't mine.
I never said you said that.
It's just that you seem to want to make this Falloutcraft.
The things were inspired by fallout, sure. Is he going to add mole rats? Probably not, as that's a blatant copy.\
Simple enough for you now?

Let's please not make this thread into an arguement over how much Last Days is/is not inspired by Fallout, and make it more about Last Days, please. Thanks.
While this is not a Fallout Pack, There are a handful of visual references to Fallout. The PIM is the clearest of which. I did this intentionally because I figured it was such an iconic part of fallout and I have seen people request PIP-Boy GUI's... Now I did tried to distinguish it a little bit from the PIP-Boy, but I had always planned for it to be the clearest reference. Regarding the spider, I wanted to give the spider a TV screen face due to the functionality of the spider eyes file. In this particular case I wound up using the visual style of the 'yes man' because I was working with pixel limitations and had to make simple digital face. I figured in the case of the spider, the fact that it is.. well, a spider would distinguish it enough from the 'yes man'. Plus it does have its own Lore and when I have sound for it, it will clearly be its own thing.
so, You needn't harass each other for suggesting fallout references. While I am not making an out right Fallout pack, It has been an influence. The same can be said for borderlands, though, less so. Ultimately, I have it in my head where this is going. I am very much open to suggestions but I do not have the intention of making 'falloutcraft' as it were. I will not be influenced by Ideas that do not fit into the vision I have of where this pack is headed so if anyone is concerned with that.. there is no cause for alarm.
When the pack and the lore are complete. It will be clear that this is not fallout. Spiders, GUI, and zombies at the very least will have Fallout feels to them, but the big picture will be different.
edit: also, I appreciate suggestions. So if you are not fond of someones suggestions, feel free to make your own. I read them all and have already taken a few.
Huggatron in action. plus incomplete rat(pig) and barely started sheep unfortunately.
The view from behind is to show it has a record player mounted on its back. This was added on the Model 2 Huggatron as a bonus feature. It is actually the ONLY difference between Huggatrons 1 & 2. It was more of a marketing ploy then anything.
It just doesn't feel right with vinyl records instead of floppy disks. But that's just me. The way you've gone about this doesn't give the same 50's pre-war vibe that Fallout has, and as such records don't feel like they belong.
If you make the creepers shout "You have violated the law" in a policemans voice when they spot you i will love you forever.
Wouldn't it be classed as a mod then and not a texture pack? due to it editing other stuff and not just textures
He could add a additional sound files pack. Wouldnt have to be called a mod :3 but having a texture pack in a apocalyptic setting will be kinda ruined by raiders making skeleton rattling noises and flying robot thingies making ghast noises.
All im saying is a sound pack, if possible, would add to the overall atmosphere of this already amazing project.
With the addition of the custom sounds this would fall under a total conversion mod, in my opinion.
The different components could be downloaded separately, meaning that you can pick and choose. At heart it would be a texture pack, but for people who want a little more, you could get the extras.
To be honest, this pack looks so promising i'd corrupt my Minecraft a bazillion times to get it.
The plan is to have sound. depending on whether or not I am able to get a hold of and work with my sound guy/friend soon, I would like to have it for the initial release.
and yes.. I suppose the plan is for total conversion. I have been looking for a good way to phrase it for the OP but this is meant to go beyond what a texture pack usually means, primarily through sound, lore, and use of in game mechanics such as changing the ores to the batteries stored resources, and cacti to toxic waste. While the game will still be recognizably Minecraft (obviously) it is supposed to change just about everything. Granted.. sand is sand, dirt is dirt.. but the world it self should feel entirely new, while still referencing to community jokes such (the cake is a lie(portal) creepers just want a hug, etc)
A suggestion for the gravel texture, I think it should be replaced with trash. Basically a block that looks like the contents of a landfill (garbage bags, tires, cans, etc.). I used this when I tried to finish Last Days for personal use, and it works really well. With the place gravel spawns it looks as if there is garbage washed up on beaches and landfills found underground.
EDIT: Plus, finding flint (or its substitute) can be comparable to scavenging through garbage.

That's a great idea, I second this.
I in fact have tried this. I am gonna take another crack at it but I need to find a way to make it work visually. I aggree that it is definitely the way to go. In regards to the comment that everyone got so up in arms about, pigs are rats which is not too far off from molerats, and the record player will likely use a floppy disk.. as was suggested earlier.. i will probably change the creeper and record player to use floppy disks. The back mounted record is a bit bulky anyhow.

There ideas. Not demands.

conversion? Win, more like :happy.gif:I approve, good sir!
Ambiance noises = speakers being talked into.
