WOW!!! you sir are one hell of a pixel artist! I tried so hard to get this pack going again and it paid off! YAY!
oh and idea for nether...
What if it was the crumbling remains of the moon you mentioned in the back story? all the lava (toxic sludge) would be a result of the weapon tests. Gasts = robotic weapons left there? Glowsone = irradiated... er... somthink... OR technology of some sorts?
Don't underestimate the sheer utility of the new wool blocks. Random colors don't fit well with the theme, but computer screens, varying crates and boxes, or other ratty bits of the past make great options.

The possibility's are endless O.O If sheep were robotic creatures that supplied the essential building blocks for a whole range of electronic/mechanical devises... don't exactly know how that would work though... mayby = scrap bots sent out from the cocoons to clear up the planet or just bring back supplies?
Wonderful texture work, mate, and love the example gui in particular. You're keeping up the excellent standard that doku set and it looks to be in more than competant hands. Very well done indeed.
This is the Huggatron 2. One of Orbital Industries early inventions, the second edition of the worlds first AI. Its only purpose was to be a companion to children. When the war started, and the Cocoons were first opened, The Huggatron was retrofitted to be a simple security drone. They removed its trademark hugging arms, Fitted it with a self-destruct system, and removed its voice box.

That is actually a great idea.. I've yet to do anything with the sheep and the addition of colored wool made me take even more pause.. However I know that people will also want to use the new wool for pixel art, so I may have to make two versions

cant wait for release!!!
I hadn't thought of that. I had been making the nether sort of an underground clean-up facility however I think I like that better. I was already making ghast into sentries so they would not have to change much.. pigmen were going to be in hazard suits so they would not have to change much either.

Imo the safe should be a chest.
Just saying.
Also, will pumpkins be radiation helmets?
I will consider it. As you can probably tell, The least work went into the safe, so I am definately willing to change it if I can come up with a better design. I had thought about making pumpkins tv monitors to take advantage of the jack o' lantern(sp?) glow. But I was not 100 % committed to it.

Bah, this blows the one I was working on out of the water . I was going for a slightly different style, but it can't hurt if you feel like using some of mine.
My sign, with the screen tinted green to fit with the fallout theme. I'm not fully sure of your going for a tech theme or wasteland theme, but seeing the inventory screen implies that some tech is left. Ignore it, modify it,I don't really mind.
I was infact going for more of a Wastes sort of them. I like the look of your sign though. I am not sure it will fit into what i am doing but perhaps it could. I did intend for some tech, but having it mostly harder to obtain.. such as iron and diamond tools and armor.
Maybe signs could be stone with words engraved into it.
As for pumpkins, it wouldn't explain why you could wear them.
As for wool, it's a hard decision to make. Maybe keep them the same, but give the paints a faded texture to them.
yeah, I will be hitting the drawing boards as far as wool goes.. and i will start playing with the hazard mask pumpkin and see how it goes.

I mentioned this back on Doku's original Last Days page but would anyone be interested in a Server dedicated to this pack? I cant make one myself unfortuanataly but I love the idea of multiple people sharing this shattered world...
before someone compares this to Fallout AGAIN can I just say it isn't the only thing ever to have used the concept of a post apocalyptic world... just because it's the latest one to do so doesn't mean it came up with the idea.
I read a series of books set in a world were after some massive war the city's, villages and towns all became huge vehicles and drove around the world EATING EACH OTHER!!! I mean how friggin awesome is that?
btw... I made a signature advert for the pack. (Down there)
Maybe you could switch up the tools a little. Like instead of using a pickaxe to scavenge recources you could use a spanner or somekind of mechanical device. Meh, just an idea.
like it. spanner, crowbar, drill, wrench, hammer all possibilities...
So glad you're the person to continue this.
Looks amazing so far, reminds me a lot of Fallout :biggrin.gif:
Can't wait to see the end product, SO HAPPY!

Thank you. I am a big fan of your pack
The objective is to make it a unique take on a post apocalyptic world, not cut-and-paste Fallout ideas.

STOP REFERENCING VIDEO GAMES.
This is supposed to be a post apocalyptic pack, not a mixture of Doom, Mario Party 8, Halo Reach, and Fallout 3.
like it. spanner, crowbar, drill, wrench, hammer all possibilities...
