um im new to all this stuff and im not a conputer wiz soooo how do i download this pack
1) download the version of your choosing
2) locate the zip file you just downloaded in your download directory (usually in downloads folder or your desktop)
3) open explorer and locate your .minecraft folder which is usually:
(C:\Users\(YourUsername)\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft)
if you cannot find the AppData folder, proceed to step 3.5. however if you have located your .minecraft folder proceed to step 4
3.5) if you cannot see your appdata folder, go to control panel and select "all control panel items" and open folder options. click on the view tab and find and select the bubble that says "show hidden files, folders, and drives" and press ok
4) locate the texturepacks folder in your .minecraft folder (...\.minecraft\texturepacks)
5) move the zip file you just downloaded to the texture packs folder (DO NOT UNZIP THE CONTENTS)
6) if you downloaded the 16x16 version you can stop here, however i recommend you keep going
7) download OptiFine here
8) Locate your minecraft.jar file. On Windows, it's in %APPDATA%/.minecraft/bin
9) Create a backup of minecraft.jar
10) Open minecraft.jar in an archive editor (WinRar/7-Zip/etc)
11) Delete the META-INF folder.
12) Copy the .class files from the downloaded zip file into the jar file, replacing previous files.
13) Run Minecraft and test!

I sacrificed far away graininess of cobblestone for upclose detail(from far away cobblestone looks worse, but up close looks better), Leaf texture is now cleaner, brick texture is a little less sloppy, changed the top of crafting bench, changed the wood on record player/note blocks, cactus (smoother), netherrack (brighter), soulsand (smoother), clay (smoother), wood doors are almost entirely new, iron doors are a little cleaner looking, pumpkins are a little cleaner looking, added a my own minecart and minecart track textures, iron/diamond/gold/lapiz blocks are changed, bookshelf (numbering on the books is now correct lol)

OK. I'm going to attempt to remember all I changed.

Textures I modified:
Iron, Gold, and Diamond ingot blocks, Lava, menu buttons, and menu background.
Textures I degrained(as best as i could. some textures are still somewhat grainy):
grass (still kinda grainy :/), smoothstone, wood, stone slabs, brick, cobblestone, bedrock, gravel, logs (birch and regular), all ores, mossy cobble, obsidian, leaves, all colored cloth, sandstone.
