Opinions matter! I myself have been on and off about my glass choice, though there are very few examples of the Romans using actual glass for their windows! (At least in the timeframe I am working on). I had little choice but to copy the lasting examples, which are iron grated windows. My other choice was a vented shutter, but I discovered that visibility was so poor, it did not function as a window.
As for grass, I did try to make it greener in a healthy way, is it overdone? It was an experiment I am not done with.
I've been using your texture pack for a while now and there the only thing I don't like is the glass, but that's just my opinion. Also you could make the mobs barbarians.

EDIT: Could someone help me figure out the sig?
I've been researching a fair deal about windows since that seems to be a common complaint, though it's hard to figure out what Ancient Roman windows were like. As I stated before, this window style seems to be the best for now, though I may tweak the color.
Well right now the Zombies are bearded and wearing Celtic infantry pants, so they are technically barbarian zombies :smile.gif:
But I'll think about it. Something tells me the barbarians wouldn't be groaning and walking slowly towards you though :tongue.gif:
The zombies might technically be barbarians at the moment but they don't seem like it, also like you stated before it's not going to be 100% accurate, it's minecraft.

Maybe just take some of the metal off of the blocks to make them a bit more transparent because at the moment they dont really seem like glass.

As he mentioned earlier the point of making them metal grates is because the romans wouldn't have had glass. The Egyptians had techniques for making colored glass, but the art of making clear glass wasn't perfected until about 200 B.C by the Carthaginians. Even then, glass windows were a luxury up until the 17 and 1800's.

Ah I didn't see that before, thanks for letting me know.

and i dont mind the windows, although perhaps you could make them a little bit more transparent?
kinda hard to look through them.
Not much to update. I was working on the 32x32 pack and brainstorming a new texture pack, when it hit me that I haven't actually played the game very much since I started Romecraft. I'm taking a texture-pack break to actually play Minecraft and recharge my pixelsketching skills.

I actually did that by accident, but after seeing it, I was amused enough to keep it that way.

Awwww - When you said 32x32 I suddenly realized something: I'm a pixel racist hahaha
I prefer 16x16 packs. Mainly because I hate having to use the patcher. Still, I'm sure the 32 pack will look great all the same :happy.gif:

I hear you there. I don't like the patcher at all. I'll stick to my 16x16 for a long time!
