Ps: and get rid of those renissance art pieces.
Pps: sorry if I am a pain in your neck but i like historical accuracy and stundy archaeology
Ppps: This is why you can ask me if roman art is needed :-P

Some of the art is ancient, some of it is Renaissance, true.
Roman roads varied on their construction. Some are "cobble," some are "brick". I felt I wanted to vary the uses of the cobble structure by making it a middle ground, as both a Housing and road texture. Functionality comes before accuracy sometimes, and the game has very few textures to work from. I based the look of my cobble on the above image, but balanced it with a few pictures I saw of walls too. I then took note of an ancient Roman bridge, which contained a very neat brick pattern, which confirmed to me that my cobble was sufficient.
If you want your own Pompeii-streets, perhaps I will make an alternative cobble texture you can splice in. (As well as the many other requests for specific historical textures)
Interesting Lapus textures. The textures look nice, but I don't care for the nether textures. I will overlook that, however, seeing as I don't see nether materials very often.
I love that pic AND that post Stug. When will people get real on the concept of cobble? It's such a generic term and relates to walls differently than ground/streets. Very nicely put in your post.
Also loved Squishy's post....couldn't really read it/understand it much...but loved it all the same :biggrin.gif:

It appears I have passed the 20,000 download mark with version 4.1, and the 40,000 mark with all the versions combined. That is not a huge figure, but caught me off guard anyway!
Thank you for all the support guys, I am amazed at how well this pack worked out! :smile.gif:

Still I don't think mediterain buildings match with northern britania roads. If you use this as road your buildings should look like this:
