I gotta say, I fell in love with your sandstone. It's friggin absolutely GORGEOUS. Now most of my time is spent digging up friggin sand because of how much it takes to make sandstone. Not just the sandstone, of course. You've replaced Doku as my favorite pack.
I'm a bit dismayed to see you made the stone sword into a spear, but I'll live. Just more reason to not horde iron. Make a sword from it!
I figured it would be easier to make a spear out of stone versus a sword. I am trying to be somewhat historically accurate, and most people find iron fast enough to skip the stone sword anyway :wink.gif:

nice job man this is pretty good ....... actually its amazing i just dont care for the gui :/but hey constructive critisizm :biggrin.gif: :tongue.gif: good job keep up the good work
Well the original constructive criticism was that the original HUD was too plain, so I spiced it up to a Roman Engineer's paperwork! It will see revisions over time.
Just converted the world I've been working on to 1.3, your texture pack, and now the lighting make my sandstone towers look marvelous. It's a shame I made this world before sandstone spawned naturally... as I've gone through roughly 1800 sandstone blocks so far... all crafted naturally from the sand below my building area
I like the spear a lot, always been a big fan of spears and other polearms. The bed looks nice, although when I hit it to break it, the colors get much brighter. Not sure if thats from your texture pack or the new lighting. Once night falls I'll give my opinion on the new mobs.

The bed breaking is something I noticed too, and nothing to do with my pack. Otherwise I would've looked into it! Glad you like the changes so far! As for MOBs, the only ones I changed from previous versions are the Nether MOBs
I love you (....not like that). The textures are so cool and stuff, it would be a lot easier though if i knew exactly what the blocks looked like xD. Well thats just the fun of finding it out then :tongue.gif:

I plan on making a few new screenshots to show them off! I'm just busy playing :wink.gif:
Wow... the texture pack is one thing... but the city!!! Truly amazing, and the colored wool adds so much to it. I havn't been to the nether in a long time, so I can't say anything about those mobs, however I did see a slime today, and it was blue, I thought they were normally green but that was the first i've seen. Is that your doing? Either way it was pretty cool looking lol.
Oh, and I thought of a suggestion today. Could you somehow fit an eye on the boat like was often painted on biremes and triremes? I feel like there might not be enough space to work with on our tiny square rafts, but it would certainly look nice if you could pull it off. Actually thinking about it, just making it out of squares in general seems quite difficult.

That's my attempt, would it fit on the side of the boat texture? I don't know lol.
Love the video, although it was a bit fast at times. I especially liked the hill overlooking the town. And it would be cool if you did the same tour, but using the default texture pack for comparison.

I did try to make the boats look like mini-triremes at one point, but when I put the eye on the texture, it was repeated on all four sides of the boat :sad.gif: Looked awful.
That sucks, I thought that you may have already tried, but I figured I'd propose it. A mini-trireme would be fantastic, but I guess I'll jsut have to build one in my harbor... even if it is stationary lol. But I do love the blue slimes =)

Oh I know the reasoning, but I just found the notion of stone swords innately hilarious despite the impossibility of it. Wood swords are also hilarious, but they are intolerably weak as a weapon. Something about it was just kinda funny. I imagine stone swords were more about bludgeoning things to death than cutting them.
Though, with the size of minecraft weapons(in relation to body size) they are more like daggers. Clubbing things to death with a stone dagger is even funnier.

The first stone weapon I made was a dagger that was 1/3 the length of the regular sword. It was supposed to look like a dagger, but it just looked like you were clubbing things with a rock XD
Dome home! Picture taken from on top of the shack on the lower part of the picture. That's my work shack. Nothing impressive inside. Just the essentials for making things and a stair to the roof. I'm going to try turning it into a tall watchtower later.
Inside!
Not done decorating, but I'll have to do quite some searching before that can be done. I need reeds, but I haven't found any in what little wandering I've done. I need friggin reeds to make bookshelves. I'm thinking doing that might take longer than I'd like.
I plan plenty of other dome structures too. Some kind of green house. Then again, maybe a glass dome zen garden. I still want to do that huge glass bottom pool over a cave.. which is literally right next to me. You can see gravel peeking under the tree in the first shot. RIGHT THERE. Under that is some kind of cave. No clue where the entrance is though.
Past that.. I dunno. I'm open for suggestions.

Wow! That is very nice! I like the overall unique shape of the house, but still is pretty much a perfect dome. Domes have always been a colossal pain for me, like the 44x22m one on the Pantheon. This reminds me of some examples of the earliest Roman structures made out of wood... or perhaps, Barbarian influence? *Squinty eyes*

UPDATE
New video!
omg, pleasehavemybabies!
I do not plan on babies any time soon.
Also, since I mentioned it in my other Romecraft posts, I am now potentially accepting builders for the City of Romecraft! The white-listing feature inspired me to do so.
So, this is how it will work:
What to include in your message to Stugace:
Send me a Private message -
Tell me your age (shouldn't matter too much, but I need responsible/mature players)
Your Location (certain countries might not connect well to me)
Your reason to help.
Show me your work! (Pictures!)
And tell me about yourself!
That should suffice, and I will get back to you on how the system will work!
