How would some one go about starting a texture pack from scratch? not just editing the terrain.png but everything else as well.

download gimp or paint.net

change all picture files in mincraft folder and its subfolders

to get to minecraft folder go to "run"

type %appdata%

click minecraft folder

this will help alot(more than i could, its a full tutorial)
