That is a really beautiful and cheerful pack, minegirl, and if you don't mind me saying, about flippin' time too! I know that a number of male neanderthals think Minecraft, and all things pertaining to construction, was invented exclusively for them, but when they've finished scratching themselves and switched on a few brain cells, they may realize the world has moved on a few centuries, but I doubt it! [Lol! bring it on!! ]
Seriously though, your tiling and choice of colours, etc. looks superb and I'm sure this will please many!
Looking forward to seeing what you've done with the mobs, etc!
wow really?
The fact is graphics wise minecraft is very guy oriented. Studies show that Most girls (not saying all) prefer games with good looking graphics ie. final fantasy. Minecraft is not this. It's mostly pixelated and not very good looking. So that means it is more geared towards men. that's just how it is.
Your post proved that some women (you) can be just as brain cell deficient and cavemanish as men.
So stop being sexist. ( I just had to get this of my chest, I hate it when girls think they can call men stupid, but expect to be treated all nice)
On topic-
I like the pack! I probably won't use it because I like minecraft to be more gritty, but the artwork is great!
Lol! This is so funny! Hilarious in fact!
You assume I am a woman - first incorrect assumption. Oh dear! [shakes head in disbelief]... and as a man I learned to treat women as equals at an early stage in my life and I did just fine out of it, with a happy marriage, good friends of both gender, and the ability to laugh at the stereotypes associated with both men and women. Yeh, being an open-minded kind of 'guy' (just thought I'd remind you again) with a sense of humour (that's important to women too, just incase 'being nice to them doesn't work!), I'm well aware of my strengths and inadequacies...judging by your off the mark assumptions and your sig. I'm not sure you are. Don't be offended, but my comment was a 'humorous generalisation', yours was a personal attack.
My post was a 'tongue-in-cheek' comment, and not to be taken seriously, that's why I ended my comment with "seriously though". Unfortunately, perhaps I should have been more serious, as your post seems to prove my point! Just a thought, but we might have more success with girls if you [cough] sorry 'we', stop thinking of 'girls' as a seperate inferior species. I know what you mean though, sometimes being nice to girls is just not good enough! Damn them for not being grateful to their masters!
["Wifey! Get me my *** beer! I'm stuck down a mine-shaft in Minecraft"...BONK! "Now that's not being very nice dear!" "Yeh, well I'm stuck down a ******* well in Left for Dead, so get yer own **** beer next time!!"]
Don't take life too seriously muncher! :biggrin.gif: You've brightened my evening up no end, so don't take my comments too seriously either and lets stay friends. However, I really am a guy, or 'bloke' as we say here in the UK, honest!
ps. I suppose it's too late to say you might like my texture pack. It's one of the 'grittier' one's on offer! :biggrin.gif:
pps. And my sincere apologies to you, minegirl, for the inconvenience of having to trawl past this silly post!

So when a guy makes a pack like this it's sexism and he gets flamed to high heaven, but when a woman does so it's suddenly ok?
I demand this thread be flamed, otherwise it's.. Sexism!!! :tongue.gif:
Lol! I want 'guycraft' just to balance things out!
The great Glimmar, pixel artist of prestige, famous makes of Glimmar's steampunk, great poster of posts has commented on your texture pack? It is a honour to hear the sound of his name let alone be given wisdom from his lips.
I would be truly humbled to make this 'guycraft' if it pleases your awesomness.
You better!....Have it on my desk on Monday!! :biggrin.gif: [/quote]
Wow. A texturepack aimed primarily for girls to use starts a sexist debate. How interesting?
Good job on the TP though! Looks good.
I can't wait to download this pack! I keep checking every day if you've added a link to download it or not! Its so cute! I'll start my "lets play" after I get this one because its just too amazing to hide! Awesome job with it! I can't wait to see the final product!
This is a cute map pack. One does not need to be female to enjoy it. To complain about something like this is ridiculous. It was made by a mother and her child, both females. They were creating a map pack that was "cute." Cute things are often female, thus the name of the map pack is "Girlcraft." Nothing wrong with that.
While this is not a pack that I would personally be interested in, I think it is an great pack.
The artwork is excellent and I'm glad you will be releasing it for the enjoyment of many others.
I also agree with your Sig, it really is more like sBOOM!, if you don't see them but hear them ramping up... your lucky to get far enough away to avoid dying in the inevitable explosion.
Just call it "Minecraft Texture Pack that may or may not interest women of a particular demographic but is not limited to said women of a particular demographic."
This is... this is AWWWWWDORABLE. (I'm sorry. I had to say it.) And I hope you keep the watermelon texture! :biggrin.gif:
I agree with the sentiment on the watermelons. Until Notch makes actual ones, I'd love if the watermelons stayed or if you kept them in as alternate textures.
I know I'm usually the culprit of this but it would be so lovely to see a thread about something girls can enjoy to NOT boil down to an argument for/against feminism!

You are absolutely right, and my first comment was a provocatively stupid thing to say, I don't mind admitting. It was unnecessary, but my heart was in the right place, just not my brain on that occasion!
I wish this very pleasant worthy texture pack every success. :smile.gif:

I love the fact that you made this. I always go so dark and gloomy.
"This may hurt a little, but it's something you'll get used to...."

All good but that comment. :tongue.gif:
Jk, everyone has their own tastes. Good job for a mom and daughter tbh, I would expect far worse.
RAINBOWS EVERYWHERE
RAINBOW VOMIT! D:
on-topic, I like the light yet soft colors and the whole 'baby girl dream' thing going on.
Smiling pink sparkly creepers? :ohmy.gif:
< My Steam Account (add me!)
< Dragon Cave! (aid)
Please keep the pumpkins as watermelons with faces and the diamond block a rainbow block! I LOVE IT.
Anyway, I vomited rainbows. It's gorgeous, and it's really useable. PERSONALLY liked it for comedic purposes.

It's politically correct!
I agree with the sentiment on the watermelons. Until Notch makes actual ones, I'd love if the watermelons stayed or if you kept them in as alternate textures.
I have just shown my younger twin daughters this and they absolutely love it :smile.gif:
They would dearly love the rainbow and the watermelons to stay , they love the faces on the watermelons .
Must keep an eye on this thread for the release (hurry) :tongue.gif:
Great stuff , keep up the good work .
