I have to say, this is a pretty nice looking pack, even thought the pink ness of it makes my genitals want to puke, but i have to say it is very nice looking
i shall give you a
i am working on the UI and paintings at the moment, only when i place certain paintings, they show up blank, so i think my art file is outdated, maybe they ended up adding that new painting they were talking about. If anyone has the new default art file i will be very grateful.
also, does anyone know if we can enlarge the art size? like double it maybe? or will that only work with a patcher? im having trouble working with the tiny 16x16 paintings
Higher res paintings will work fine without the patcher, and higher res mob skins do as well. You should just be able to extract the latest art file from your .jar file.
TOO MANY EDITS: Here ya go, a fix for trap.png AND sign.png!
aww arent you cute. thanks for making it, i have added it to the zip file and updated the link on the OP. (i havnt yet used traps i forgot all about them) but i am pretty sure the sign was already in the items folder.

For art, I hope you are making decorations instead of actual paintings. Things like curtains, clocks etc!
Also I really enjoy this pack(other than obsidian and diamond,) thank you for releasing it.
I recently the art file for personal use...so I hope my blunders can help if you do decide to take razieh up on this....
In the upper right is the space (4x4 blocks) for the "background" for each painting when shown in game. It is transparent by default, but I added a wood plank texture that acted as a (sort of) filler in between the painting and the block. Turned out good...except for the paintings that had transparencies themselves (curtains.....hehe)

I really like these textures, despite being a guy.. in college. *shifty eyes*
These textures are very well done, and stick with their theme better than most texture packs. I especially love how well all the textures/colors fit with each other, with a minor exception on cobblestone and iron. Maybe I just don't like that much cyan... Anyway, I look forward to your paintings, further GUI, and items? (I didn't notice if the items changed. Oops!) Almost everything in this pack is visually hilarious (in a good way), though as a guy, my eyes naturally can't adapt to such things as pink and purple and I will go blind if I keep using it. I need my gritty textures and my dirt and my manly things.
The only suggestions I have, as you might already have in mind, are:
- Patterned wool ( it's all the rage these days )
- Cuter Iron (looks.. strange at the moment)
- Cute squids? Do you have these?? I'll go look..
- Rainbow Minecart tracks. I want to feel magical when going down to mine..
i am glad you like it :biggrin.gif: i dont think i will be doing items, i am just not that good at working with pixels, patterns (which is basically all i did for the textures) is about as far as my skills go, im still not sure about mobs, i plan to at least give them a go.
regarding iron and ore blocks in general, i made them that way just to use as flooring really. my kids use an in game item editor and so they hax in all that stuff and wanted some more floor options.
I couldnt think of anything better to do with them but im open to suggestions!
I like the bright colourfulness of this pack but the one thing that stops me from wanting to use it is the abundance of pink. I know the pink is kinda the point but it just kinda puts me off. If it were just a bright yellow or something I could have a jolly good time skipping through the meadows with my pig friends. I may still use it if I get tired of GRITTY MANTACULAR KILLGORE BLOOD SPEW aka the darker packs

EDIT: well, I took a shot at some mobs! :ohmy.gif:
( sorry about the subpar skeleton/spider screenshots, I haven't yet devised any way to screenshot my mob skins without having to just wander around until I happen to get attacked by the enemy I'm looking for. )
anyway, adorable creeper! well-dressed zombie! icy-blue skeleton! and whatever the spider is! :biggrin.gif:

The sign was slightly incorrect...
My OCD required me to fix it.
