I tested it out, went to the nether, checked out all the items and such. It just doesn't look that good. Nothing notable or out of the normal. It's just another apocalyptic pack.
Well, downloaded it today and is using it right now.
I have a few things I would like to comment on, both what I like and dislike.
What I liked:
- Torches: YES. I am all for re-skinning those things. Any design besides the normal ones will get my love. Pretty neat design, too.
- Mob skins: What I mostly noticed was the Zombies, Creeper, and Chicken (maybe that was it, but I couldn't tell :tongue.gif:). Chickens looked nice, and so do the Zombies. They actually look like a threat. Personal love goes to the Creeper, although I have mixed feelings about it. The black design looked nice, making it seem like it WAS full of gunpowder. On the other hand, it doesn't conceal itself well, IMO. Stands out even at night.
- Ores: I have to say I like these more then ANY other pack I've seen. And I mean it. Not over simple, fits well, stands out but not too much, and what is dropped (coal specifically) looks more natural. Could be improved by overall design with the stone (see complaints).
- Dusts/Powders: The gray tint to the sugar looked very cool. Shows it more unrefined like it would be if you did it by hand. Gunpowder, Glowstone dust, and Redstone Dust look AMAZING, at least to me. Iunno why though... just does :3
- Tools: Neat-o design with these things. Wood and stone tools are my favorite, along with the bow. I mean, dang, they fit into the whole survivalist theme I think you were going for.
- Certain blocks: Have many, so I will just list them. Liked sand, glass, clay, cobblestone (<3), cactus, sugar cane, planks, Obsidian, wools, bedrock, glowstone, furnaces, workbenches, and dirt. Maybe a few other that I am forgetting.
- Raw Pork: Hell. Yes. Now THAT is how you do raw meat! All dripping with blood an' sheep, looks manly and awesome like nobodies business.
- General Drops: Bones and feathers look very epic, as do some others.
- As far as bug: Might as well put them here is that I didn't notice any.
What I didn't like (suggestions for change):
I will try to make this as non-to-my-personal-liking as possible.
- Stone: It looks... kinda off. Sort of bland, at least to me. Maybe try to make it have more detail. The effect it gives when it is dark is pretty cool looking. Maybe make that stand out a bit when it is lit up.
- Creeper skin: Yes, I did say I liked it, BUT I said I didn't like parts of it. Seems like it should blend in more. Don't creatures in real life try to camo themselves into the environment (I assume a real-like look is what you are going for, on the base of it being a survivalist pack)? Maybe a very dark green to blend into the grass an' stuff? Oh, and that brings me to my next thing...
- The Grass: Shares the same issue I have with the stone. Looks soooo bland on the top. Along the sides I like it allot, but it seems so flat and painted on at the top. Again, maybe some more detail?
- Netherrack: To me, it doesn't tile well in large amount like for floors. The overall design is pretty neat, but there is this whiteish border on one edge the looks very out of place.
- My iffy complaint: I am calling this one iffy based on the title vs. the description. The title says Survived Pack, and the description says survivalist pack. The problem for me is when I look at the bed and most of the wood stuff. When I think Survived, I think you went through something, in this case it all fits. Certainly looked like my map got blown through by a pack of pigmen with eye liner and blowtorches, lighting my bed on fire and smugging my chests O.o When I think survivalist, I think hobbled together for the most part. The wooden tools are the example I use for this, as with stone. They look JUST LIKE if someone was to just throw them together all willy-nilly in order to survive (Oh, and the hoe still looks so bland too :tongue.gif:). This also comes into play with armor. They can look both thrown together and like they went through something.
Again, this complaint is sorta iffy. Don't really mind it that bad... just seems out of place to me.
Overall:
Even with all the negatives I listed, I freakin' LOVE this pack. What looks good looks REALLY good, and anything I didn't mention wasn't badly done. The blocks you got right I adore. This pack makes my burning cobblestone and netherrack tower, accented with glowstone and sandstone, look FREAKING AMAZING at night. I hope to see you work on this more, as it is actually becoming a favorite :3
Will defiantly use this pack in the future!
I give you, as I think what people do here, many :Diamond:'s for awesomeness.
Oh, and just making sure, I hope I am not sounding too demanding. I know how long art of any kind can take, and lives can get in the way. Look over this if ye wish =3 Hope this isn't too rude ;;^w^

Muncher is right, listen to him, he can cure the blind and make paraplegics walk.
I may not use your texture pack as much as I use others but that doesn't mean that it isn't good. Just means that you need more work to do. I'm not much of a critic so don't ask me whats wrong. I will tell you that it makes minecraft feel more like minecraft.
Working on the next update.
Also, I think you've done wonderfully with this texture pack.
Thank you! I'm using gimp. It works great for minecraft textures.
:ohmy.gif: I didn't know it had a noise adding/blur function!I use it as well, and that's been the main problem for me.
Great! Good to know someone might be using it!
