I like texture packs. I like them so much that I downloaded and checked them out. Now, I've put all of them into one file, along with mcpatcher, so you guys don't need to go digging for them yourselves.
Not ALL of the texture packs are in here. Only most of them, I think. The ones that are in here are only the easiest to install ones. To install:
1. Run mcpatcher.
2. Click on the 3rd "Browse" button from the top.
3. Find the texture pack you want to use for Minecraft.
4. Click patch.
5. Enjoy.
Install instructions are not required for 16x16 texture packs, however it is recommended that you follow the instructions anyway.
If you don't see a texture pack on here that is easy to install, please post and I'll update. Also, I DID NOT MAKE ANY OF THESE PACKS. All credit goes to their respective maker.

*Painterly Pack has it's own website that lets you choose the way you want your pack. The one in the compilation is the way I liked my pack and is not a current version.
**Quandary Pack contains 12 texture packs in it corresponding to each month. On his website there is a texture rotator that changes the pack every day. Also is not a current version.
***Not actually mine. That was the name of the file that was downloaded.
I'm color blind. It all looked an ugly orange. Again, this is all based off of my opinion; at the same time, if someone does like one of the "Lame" texture packs, it'll still be there for them to try.
I'm really glad for this repack, thanks for putting it together. Being fond of texture packs, I've downloaded a lot of these too =) I found the classifications of different sizes to be useful, but I thought the great/good/lame folders could be a little hurtful to people who put a lot of work into their textures. It's really subjective, and I feel like calling groups of texture packs "lame" hinders not only updates for those packs, but more textures from those authors and the community at large.

Then how can you effectively rate something if you can't see it correctly in the first place?
Im new to minecraft n your idea of having the most famous texture packs in one .zip is great. i like it...
very convenient for someone like me that might of missed a good Tpack from before n now its here...
what i wanted to ask is how to run the bigger Tpacks like the ones over 16x16? i read on the patcher thread but i couldn't really find an answer lol
i mean when i run the patcher n i pik the pack i want ... whats next do i play the game thru the patcher? or do i move the patched zip into the game texture pack folders? or ... into the .JAR? ... if u could help =) it would make this pack compilation even better

Xau's patcher moves all the necessary .pngs and other files into Minecraft's default texture pack, so you just run the patcher and leave the ingame selection on default. You can start the game with the patcher if you want, but that isn't necessary. You can start the game normally too.

You know what, that's a really good point. I'm changing the layout of the folders, having a My Favorites folder instead of Lame, Good, Great. Unfortunately, I'll not have time this morning to reupload and change the OP. I would never want to hurt this great community.

I've tried putting only the simplest of packs to install in here. For the HD packs, literally just open the patcher and select the pack and hit patch. Done.
PS, the Bumpmaft one isn't that easy. (There's one more step, lol) All I have to do is change one thing and it'll be fixed. I'll update this afternoon.
This is rediculous. Not only did you call over twenty packs "lame", but you failed
to include some of the most popular packs. This is in no way "All Texture Packs"
I suggest you remove the "Lame" folder before you start pissing people off,
and if youre going to include ALL of the texture packs, then actually do so.
And I agree with the others, Brown and Bloom definately does not belong in "Lame"
I suggest you remove the "Lame" folder before you start pissing people off,
Too late, lol. I'm changing the download right now so as to be less "controversial". Lame was clearly a bad word to use. I do apologize for offending anyone. Also, as stated in the OP, I have most of the texture packs but not all. The ones that I left out on purpose were only because they had more than the above steps involved in installing them.

Mine can technically be installed that way too, but it has its own instructions
EDIT: Nevermind, I dont want mine to be in there anyway since I update a lot

This
I really don't see the appeal of packaging up a bunch of outdated textures anyway. It doesn't help anyone choose. We've already got a pinned topic with screenshots for that. The only thing we've gotten out of your zip is a long download and the understanding that you don't like a bunch of perfectly good textures.

It's allowed me to download a lot of packs that I've not seen before in one fell swoop. For that it is good, although in all honesty, I doubt that I'll be switching from my Misa 64x - Sanguine compilation pack that we use here at home, as I think that my wife would just about bust a gut if I gave her an 'update' and it included something besides the compilation that we use as it would/could change the way most of her buildings look terribly.
I think that especially for people who are new to this community (myself included), a pack like this can help introduce us to some of the talent thats out there, without having to be overwhelmed by the wealth of unorganized textures on the forum. Some of us are Pokemon trainers (Gotta catch 'em all!) and like to have easy access to all the packs sorted by texture size, so we can go through them, pick out our favorites, and keep them updated as we like. Not many people are going to want the whole pack, with updates, re-uploaded every time someone has a patch to their texture. Most of the textures in this pack (at least that I have seen) seem complete, and the ones that aren't perfect only have minor issues. If we don't like said issues, it's easy enough to update the textures we like, simply by searching the forum.
Outside of the unfair ratings, I think this pack is a good idea for collectors (like me), who like to have a brand new pack of cards to open, just to see whats inside :]
For the naysayers, I know the critique was hurtful and abrasive, and not the right way to go about it, but give this pack a chance. It may help to introduce new people to your wonderful textures which can otherwise get buried under all the many posts here. And yes, I know there's a great sticky that indexes all of the textures - it's where I found most of the ones I use! - but when you can just play through everything on the list, without navigating pictures (too small, broken, copy/paste links, too big, not enough, etc), it's really handy.
Tks for explaining above how the packs work.. funny thing the one u said needed an extra step is the one i tried i take it after i patch i just close the patcher n play my game w the default Tpack.
i was wondering y this pack didnt make it, GERUDOKU?
tks
EDIT 1... u kno what would b kool maybe a pic from the guys site like in the folder where they are like right under the pak so we can see what it looks like.. im just saying
I might update this thing once or twice a month. But for the most part it's unnecessary to reupload the compilation every time a texture pack gets updated. As stated in a previous post, you can update the ones you like yourself.
I'll see about the pictures, but I probably won't put them in there. That will make the file a lot larger. Since I abolished my...inconsiderate rating system I would suggest looking at the ones I put in the 'My Favorites' folder. They are really cool, I think.
Also I may update the OP with a list of all the packs in this pack.
Edit: The comments on this thread go from one extreme to the other, lol.
I just updated this with more texture packs, the updated installer, and I updated my favorite texture packs. Also listed the packs in this file, in case you didn't notice. Enjoy.
