Ok, im getting quite tired of trying to search for a good texture pack similar to doku's for 5 hours because every page i see is full of this "OMG HD GET ER NOW!!!" packs that are getting annoying, I'm not saying stop making them, I'm saying im sick of wasting 5 hours of my life searching through the forums for a 16x16 or 32x32 pack wihtout running into all these 64x and above spamming my searches. I looked on the texture pack list and barely found any 16x or 32x that I liked because they were to bright/ugly/clean and made stone look like dirt. Does anyone know a good texture pack that is similar to doku's and the default. oh yeah, I hate the texture packs that require the patcher thingy, I prefer just putting them in the minecraft texture folder

A texture pack started by Doku, being finished by History, not released yet, but a must have when it is, both of them are very talented, and together it makes it perfect.
they have a list of just about all the current texture packs in order of resolution size, i also prefer 32px lately, so i just scroll down to the 32s and have a look around at whats good and whats new.

Gotta love people with an attitude.
First off, anything over 16x16 requires...SURPRISE! A PATCHER! omgwtfbbq?!
Second off, as we say in other games, less QQ more pew pew.
But seriously, since you seem to be incapable of finding good packs on your own, here you go, I took the time to dig up my favorite packs from the forum. Your own mileage may vary. Perhaps you'd get less sarcastic and friendlier responses if you weren't such an <obscenity not posted>. Also, it took me less than five hours to find any of these.
There's plenty more out there in 16x16. Quit being lazy and maybe, I dunno, look for them. And hey, if you decide to get really unlazy, maybe you can find some of the amazing 32x32 and 64x64 packs out there and make separate installs to enjoy them. Or mod your game.
See what a bad attitude gets? I was helpful, yet still taking the same attitude. Just your friendly neighborhood ***hole.
Sorry in advance to the mods.
EDIT: I'm either:
A: Really crazy
B: Really drunk
C: Really nice
D: All of the above
And there's plenty more out there that I haven't even listed. Those are just some of my favorites. Read the 1st post of each for info on how to get them to work before you bombard the thread with the "These don't work dur hur" posts.

This is the one I am actually currently using, it's very nice, especially for building.
Also, StugAce already put his, it is pretty nice too.
Same thing with Jehkoba, his SteamCraft pack looks pretty nice, havn't tried it out myself though.

Is pretty good, doesn't add too much RPG style to it though.

Here you go, some more packs (all of these require a patcher to work properly, as ANYTHING over 16x16 requires the patcher, even 32x32).
