I think a little lamp/glowstone animation would be nice. Something scattered for glowstone (since it's a natural product), and something refined and uniform for lamps (since they're refined)? Usually people make glowstone pulse in off patterns/places while lamps glow uniformly.
Torches having some glow at the tip would be nice too, but you already know my stance on torch tips.
The Minecraft community in general isn't about "respecting and caring" either. It largely consists of narcissistic children who disregard those other than themselves and like to spout anger, abuse, troll and flame. It is also why any competent multiplayer builder either owns a private server or one where build allowance requires in-depth vetting. If Minecraft was about "respecting and caring" these measures would clearly not be necessary.
RE: The Wither, considering the addition of Wither Skeletons (which drop coal), I'm thinking some sort of smoldering effect would be awesome.
They do look like something that's been burnt up.
Hey, just wondering, could you update ALL the textures on the Customizer? The GUI and other things aren't the same as the Forum updated pack. The Customizer still has the old GUI which doesnt scale correctly.

Sorry, quite a few of my textures seem to have gone missing.
I've added the missing creative menus; the status effect menus; the revised furnace menu, with blaze rods; the new clouds; the new end elements; the changes to some farm animals; the new green slime; a round sun option; the new menu background; the new blazes; and the new hotbar GUI pieces.
I've removed the old 'high contrast' menu parts from the customizer, as I haven't been creating high contrast GUI elements for newer updates.
About the customizer as well, with the different moons, you'll need the different colors to match the cycles otherwise the different colors only appear on full moons. I have the blue one if you wanted it (color matched as close as I could). But give one more re-check of the textures in the customizer for accuracy, some of the menus do not work. (hate to pester but I love to mix your pack with a few others and it's so easy with that site)

I actually have a sheet of 9 different variants, but I haven't found the time to implement the 8 unused ones into the customiser. I can get on that at once, after I finish the 1.4 update!
Could call the second row, "How to Fail Geometry".
I also had the idea for the default texture: instead of using phases of the moon, each day brought a new, differently colored moon. Opinions from anyone and everyone would be welcome.
My thoughts are that simple phases of the moon seem too bland and uneventful, and I have two extra colors sitting around, that I could make use of.
As for progress on 1.4, I only need to implement the growing textures for the carrots/potatoes and make the textures for the wither.
October 29th 'Cast in Iron' Fully compatible with 1.4.2; Wither skeletons and boss textures added. Wither skeleton has one randomob texture. Normal skeletons have a new randomob texture. Bat textures added. ADDED POT. Anvil texture. Beacon textures added. Carrot and potato textures added. Dyed leather textures added. Pauldrons on all armor are now smaller. Iron blocks are now cast iron. Possibly more, but I've probably forgotten.
The beacon is a decidedly golden color.
This is because the wither and wither skeleton have been given a very particular motif. Rust or roughness, and the desirable material within. The color scheme is gunmetal and yellow.
They look somewhat robotic. You could call them golems.
The wither effect is represented by an hourglass, as if to compare it to the march of time.
The health effect is represented by the metal inlay being removed.
The iron block has been changed to cast iron, in order to match the anvil, wither, and cauldron textures. Metal tools and armor are still refined.
(I may make iron golems cast iron as well, opinions on this would be welcome!)
Is the Customizer going to be our for 1.4.2 soon? Downloaded this Texture Pack today and love it! Just a couple things I don't really care for and would like to change..

Retired StaffI'm looking forward to bats!
I've been looking at that.
I'm actually quite fond of the default sky color, though I may decide to change the color for certain biomes.

Retired StaffThat's intentional, to sort of give an ominous look to someone decked out in chainmail. Something like this.
Or are you waiting for the final release at the end of the month?

Retired StaffI am planning to do the latter, unless some circumstance calls for otherwise!
You Need MCpatcher/optifine.

Retired StaffHmm, what problems do the apples have and what could I do to make them better?
