Hi, After a quick foray into KNITKRAFT ( it's said with a german accent and very gruffly. Knitting is serious business! ) I decided to put up a few images for comments to see if anyone is interested in a knitted world.
Ha ha! That is just simple awesomeness, but then all your work is to date!
It will make Minecraft somehow a less threatening place...softer and cosier. This is just brilliant as all the mobs etc. can be like soft toys, ala Little Big Planet. Really surprised this hasn't been done before, but definately in safe hands now. Oh, I so look forward to how this turns out! Love what you chose for the sand and the water. You realize you are going to spark off a swatch of cloth clone textures too. Feltcraft, Needlepoint, etc. they'd all look amazing too!
Definately on to a winner here, mate.
ps. Trees could be made of big knitting needles and balls of wool for foliage?
Wow. Just wow. I look forward to this being done. The beautiful textures really compliment the overall feel of the game. Looks cozy. Of course, there are a few textures that look like they need to be made or improved, but it looks great. I look forward to when it's done.
I would use quite often I think, please keep working on it. Maybe make the ingots and diamonds balls of yarn and the tools yarn versions of themselves?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Ever hear footsteps in your mines, even when you are perfectly still?
Bump. Also, Post a link to the pack, even if it is not done!
I can do that, but the screenies show all the blocks that are done so far. I haven't had time to continue it any further yet. I'll get the current version up after I get back from a snowed in party.

Thanks for the original texture pack. By original, I mean non-HD and non-simplistic.
This and scribblecraft are my new favorites.
Thanks Semper Durus,
I appreciate teh props, but it's 128 pixels. There's just no way to emulate woven fabrics in lower resolutions that I can come up with.
*KNITKRAFT may cause your Grandma to ask you thousands of questions on how to work a computer, die from seizures due to epilepsy, have thoughts of suicide, get drowsy, hang herself from her laptop, kill husband over odor, get depressed, and/or die in her sleep. Copperdomebodha INC. is not responsible for any reactions your grandmother might have.

As a knitter myself, I approve of this awesomeness! I love how you put cables on the sand!

How about cardboardcraft, or woodcraft?

And I meant I'm glad it's not another re-sized default, bad phrasing on my part
