Lol, just had a thought, that as useless as it would be, when (which I hope does happen) they 'fix' pumpkins, you can still wear them un-carved.
Which in multiplayer wouldn't be useless. Everyone gets a kick out of watching a fool blinding himself with a pumpkin on his head.
Now that I think about it, I'd love to see people blind themselves with a regular pumpkin! Of course, the jack-o-lantern would be carved, but regular pumpkins seem much more logical. Plus, I'd rather grow legit pumpkin crops, not an automatically carved pumpkin.
Though, I do believe we can create a win-win situation out of this deal... We'll figure something out.
And just so you know, the bottom of a pumpkin is the same as the top, so that kinda encourages me to make a regular pumpkin to have a stem as a face while every other aspect of the pumpkin is textured accurately... however, pumpkins are not usually carved from the stem... hmm... well, it won't hurt to apply the idea as an alternate texture! :tongue.gif:
Always impressed with this pack. Find it near impossible to believe this is still a 16x pack when I have to switch back to vanilla so I can 'see' the new content and I see how ... "meh" it is. Not that I don't like vanilla, just quickly miss this pack when I have to switch out. Just feels more natural and less 'busy'.
And equally impressed how quickly new content is adapted to the pack.
*+Diamonds n' stuff* :biggrin.gif:
:biggrin.gif:
Though I find it very unfortunate that I can't supply the overwhelming demand! But knowing that despite the extreme lack of textured 1.8/1.9 content, people still enjoy it... and that's a grand thing to know! :cool.gif: Haha, I can't wait until Winter Break, I'll have plenty of time to relax and work on the pack!
I do have one question / recommendation. I like the bevel edged ores...but by comparison to LapLaz their bevel doesn't seem as 3Dish. Granted the rocky nature lends it to having more depth of texture but it is it possible to apply a similar sense of depth without mucking with the overall appearance? It just may be you did too well with the LL. :wink.gif:
Edit: I'm no pixel artist but I'm GUESSING it's the dark light dark of the bevels. While LL seems to go from light to dark, the ores seem to alternate...if that makes sense. And for reference I don't build with ore blocks (yet). So I'm not sure if one way is preferred over another for those who build structures. I keep restarting worlds with each update so I never stockpile enough. Nor do I play on creative.
Hmm... we'll see how it turns out. Though I wonder if there is a correlation between bevels in regard to a block's craftsmanship and/or value. For instance, half stone slabs and stone bricks currently have deeper bevels than processed blocks... so does this suggest that the deeper bevels represent a lesser sense of craftsmanship and/or value versus processed blocks? Or is there no correlation at all, whereas deeper bevels simply look better?
I need help on that remix pack I'm creating, I'm mixing your Texture pack and the Isabella texture pack and then making it a 32X version and i need an iron block (the brick-style and the color of iron that I was almost going to kill a baby because you didn't have) except rusted and slightly scratched. Also, the 1.9 pre4 pack isn't working, the little floaty hieroglyphics aren't showing and all items introduced in 1.9pre4 don't show.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If you tell me Redstone is useless, boy I will kick your butt.
you should make there a version of the pumpkin where you see nothing (recommended earlier) and a version with almost no pumpkin blur, just around the edges.

Hmm... not sure if I will make you your iron block texture. I have far too many plans to keep up with... Maybe this weekend, though I'm not too sure.
And also, could you (or anyone) please tell me exactly what I am missing from 1.9pre4?
Still grey. And when I downloaded it the file name is Coterie Craft v2, is that important and should I change the option.txt file to it, or should I keep it as v2.2.3?

I'm not sure how to fix this, but my brother suggests that you should try the mirror download (Mediafire Download). I personally do not think it will work, but its worth I try... though I have the feeling you have already tried that, haven't you?
On another note, my bro has just added 60 new iron door textures and sprites to Plethora. On top of this, he has also allowed the capability of customizing your shovels, pickaxes, and hoes.

I don't see the little magic letters, the eye of ender, the glistering melon, I guess you never got around to texturing the melon, and I don't know about mooshrooms because I haven't seen any yet, also what was the crystal block is still a crystal block on your texture pack also could you consider changing your lapis to look more like default except darker and more saturated and/or change the birch texture? That's all folks!
love the amount of textures being added to the plethora but are you going to add more torch option like the santered torch or a candle. This must annoy you seeing as you just brought a bunch of textures for it, but could you make some [sprites] for the axe sword pickaxe shovel and hoe more like the default ones?
Torch options for Plethora?... yes, eventually. But before that happens I will need to find the best color representation for FIRE! The torch light/fire is way too yellow and orange!
New default-like tools?... actually, I am planning on texturing entirely new tool sprites. Not sure what they are going to look like, but certainly, I am looking forward for a brand new set of tools. I'm pretty sure they'll look better than what we have now, but if that isn't the case... then there's always Plethora! And suggestions like these don't annoy me... not yet.
You see, Rhodox had the right idea when it comes to suggestions. If Plethora became the new Painterly, I would be swamped with suggestions on this thread... I simply could not keep up. I'm assuming Rhodox only does e-mails because its more formal and not as "easy" to suggest as it is here on the thread. But need not to worry, this pack is not as popular as I would like it to be... as that is perfectly fine, because I have so much stuff I need to texture...
Perhaps I should display a checklist on my topic just so that you would know the status of my official content... xD Does that sound like a good idea?

Umm, I thought I updated my pack to all that... did you download the latest version? And... I actually haven't gone around to the new textures... I've been fooling around with the old textures, such as the more recent lapis lazuli texture.
Regarding the lapis, I don't plan on changing it back to its default representation (except I might do so in Plethora), I personally believe that I have given the lapis lazuli block its true texture Minecraft deserves. Even if I did make it similar to default, it wouldn't like like a precious material... it would like bland, like stone, but with lots of color. My old lapis was rarely ever used in construction or decoration, it wasn't a cherished texture. The current lapis is accurate to its natural blue representation (which correlates correctly to the blue that is used in dyeing wool) as well as its appearance to be both earthy and precious. :cool.gif:
Regarding the birch, I will certainly make a new texture... eventually, probably not now... its not a priority.

Erm... I forgot to add in glistering melons and splash potions... but it's fixed in 2.2.3
So I've been thinkin'... what mob would make a great addition to Minecraft?
But before I thought of the actual creature, there must be a purpose to the mob. For instance, what could improve the gameplay of Minecraft pertaining to the mob and what is its primary function? With any mob, they have a behavior... so are we lacking more hostile mobs or passive mobs? Could this mob effect the value or use of a certain tool or resource? How and where would it spawn? Will it conflict with other mobs?
Anyways... I came to thinking that redstone was being underused by a minority of people. Personally, I've known people who have collected way too much redstone when mining, often times they would throw it away, since they weren't going to use it in making traps or what not. For me, I don't use redstone simply because it can be too complex.
Well whatever the case, I also felt that we didn't have enough "defense" mobs. We have the wolf and quite possibly the snow golem (if the snow golem does anything?).
So think of a mob that acts like a toy robot, a redstone guardian powered by redstone (or eats lots of redstone!)....
Wait a second....
Clay soldiers already do the job!!! (at least I think it does)
Not only does it help use redstone, but uses clay too!
That's it... if I'm going to do anything this weekend, its going to be submitting a skin to the Planet Minecraft Halloween Contest, then focusing on new clay and the Clay Soldiers Mod!
V2.2.3 is out, fixing the Glistering Melons and Splash Potions.
Still can't find the Ghast fireball, though...EDIT: I just released a version where I already edited in the fireball... I srsly fail...
Download!
Huh...
Well, I guess I should post some pictures...
First, download the latest texture pack (2.2.3) from the above post.
Then, go to your .minecraft folder, as shown:
Then open up Options.txt.
You should see something like this:
Change the line which says 'skin:'
So it becomes this.
I'll try it. Thanks.

Curse PremiumRegular pumpkins could be developed as an alternate texture for Plethora, but won't be used in Coterie.
