Now that I have learned that you can craft those stone blocks that are in strongholds (I don't have the 1.8 pre-release) you can forget about my earlier complaints. However, I would like those blocks to be slightly rougher in appearance.
I didnt do much, i basically just made the blocks more like the default. the brick style is better for walls, but i like using iron blocks for toilets, fridges, microwaves, etc, and the default style is better.
here they are:
and the modified terrain.png
Btw, i gave my dogs sunglasses.
just cause theyre cool.
Sorry bout using photobucket, imgur isnt working today D:

It's alright, for now... Photobucket will only allow us to see the images for a short time, so once we've moved away from this topic a couple pages later... there will be no retraceable reference when someone decides to go back to the comment.
So here they are, refined: :cool.gif: NEW:
(The redwood planks are an alternative texture of mine, just so you know. It looks pretty epic in Macropolis, I must say!)
CURRENT:
The new blocks give me the refreshing nostalgia back when I first played the free version of Minecraft, whereas I once built some decent UFOs made of gold and iron in Classic mode.
Oh, and about the wolves... I think I will give all the mobs sunglasses in Plethora! I'm sure some people would appreciate it! :cool.gif:
Now that I think about it, I would like some more mushroom options. Well, a problem being that I would also like some new giant mushroom textures, but I like making strangers do work for me :wink.gif:
Anyway, I would like a Russula Xerampelina;
as a red mushroom and an Amanita Pantherina;
as a brown mushroom. Just for customizer options or something.
I like the bricks as they are...
I wouldnt mind if they were made slightly rougher,
but not as rough as the original cobble.
and in playing creative, ive realized theres no real purpose for the cobble to be bricked anymore, so maybe you should start experimenting with more cobble-like cobble. id help, but ive never been able to do cobble right D:

Make whatever textures you feel like... so far, your designs + my refinements = epic textures!
For now, I'll experiment with more natural cobblestone after I texture the 1.8 content. :wink.gif:

Completly agree, cobble should look like cobble now ^^
Looks like xLakota's becoming the better version of me :wink.gif:
And I do like the new textures for iron/gold/diamond.
Oh well.
There is no such thing as being the better version of a certain person. Everyone is different.
I'd say, xLakota has become a great contributor to the pack. Need not to compare to Master7432, as you have followed the thread longer than anyone that I can remember.
Gosh, thanks so much everybody :biggrin.gif:
<-- totally feels proud of himself right now.
But yea, Corn, are you gonna handle the 'Coterie polish' or should i change the brightness and stuff myself?
Lastly, im wondering if you could consider messing with the biome colors to make it less likely to get those ugly brown colors? illl try fiddling with it myself but ithought youd prolly be better at that. im not very good with colors...

Curse PremiumHmm, why not put this question up into a poll?
That will settle it, for sure. ^^

Curse PremiumUmm, did you know that quote was made back on January 15th, 2010? (Back when my pack was called "The Best of Quandary.")

Curse PremiumThe poll confirmed for pigs to have snouts. You can see the results on the front page as well as how the pig will look like.
So... it will be implemented in the next update.

SO MUCH UGLY BROWN D:
I'm thinking of just editing all the brown out of the biome colors =.=

i need to change the brightness and contrast a bit, but it works for now.
Original Coterie cobble and other assorted stones...
with my cobble...
on a house
as a path
Other constructions...
so yea. i agree it needs to be brighter, and less contrast to fit in with the other types of stone, but i cant do it now as im going out in a bit.
So heres the cobble texture on its own...

Curse PremiumYea, me too!
You've outdone yourself, xLakota. Now all that's needed is the good ol' Coterie polish. :cool.gif:
