I just got to make sure we have a definite supply of quality, rather than quantity.
Hopefully, I won't run into a situation where... for say, the wooden plank color tones would have to match the wooden frames of the lantern-style glowstone... so in that situation, I'm keeping it at a logical minimum where the dark-brown wood frame is ideal for the bright glow; as it contrasts very well compared to lighter colored woods.
I have an idea to make an ingame wall of x. What you do is that you replace each texture with a wood style, and to add more blocks, use mods and texture them in the texture pack. This isolates the modding as well as giving an ingame example.

I have another idea...
Could someone create a mod where you could customize your pack in-game?
All the textures would be in specific sections of the mod corresponding to the block type, sprite, etc... then it would be a matter of manually choosing them in-game as you encounter the certain textures that you may want to change.
Wow, I can't believe the banners gave the wrong code this whole time...
*Fixed*
On another note, I can't seem to get the customizer working at all! I don't understand how all my textures can be recognized as "duplicate" texture! I wonder if its from posting them here for you guys to see... or its a bug.
Hopefully, this can be fixed... so much so I wish I could contact Kaiassc or Bramamine (Site Creators).
This is what it looks like when I am uploading my textures:
Please note that I have formatted each glowstone texture in a 16x16 .png file; there are 88 glowstone files in all. I am also using Firefox as my browser.
Can anyone identify the problem? Moreover, how can I report the problem?
It won't simply recognize it as an alternate texture!
Ugh... this is how I am imagining the situation:
Site:"It's a duplicate texture, sir."
Me:"Umm, no its not. Don't you see that these 16x16 files are different from default."
Site:"They are all default, sir."
Me:"How so?!"
Site:"Your pack is default."
Me:"Look at the textures, they are all different. FOR SURE!"
Site:"They are all duplicates; you are uploading the same file with different names."
Me:"Umm, no. Are you bugged?"
Site:"You are default."
Me:"-___-"
Me:"Ugh... let me know when you work!"
*scrolling*
...
*CLICK*
Site:"Why did you uncheck the adfly option?"
Me:"Adfly serves no benefit to my consumers, I want my pack to be as convenient to them as they are to me on the thread... Do you ever think about others?"
Site:"They are all duplicates."
Me:"Ugh... Y U NO WORK?!"
Site:"I am working just fine."
Me:"@[email protected]"
*closes browser*
I guess I'll just contact a fellow texture artist and see if he/she can help...
EDIT: Oh, hey. I found the site creators! Thanks Google!
I use aaaall the time.
Other than the occasional PainterlyPack, this is my favorite 16x texture pack out there.
Haha, yea... :laugh.gif:
I'm personally trying to step up to Painterly... you will soon see when I release Plethora :wink.gif:
At the same time that I am working on this customizer, I am providing color tones for each texture style that I create in which I will later use them for the 4 seasons. So far... 88 glowstone, 50 wood planks... looking forward to establishing a new standard of quality in customization; harvesting inspiration, then giving it the "Coterie polish!"
herro, have not comented on this thread lately :/ been working on assignments as usual and been busy doing other stuff as well. I've also started work on another minecraft server and built this house:
its planned for demolition as soon as 1.8 comes out because we plan for a 'fresh map'.
btw that house is ligit and I made it in 3 days. (server link)
When 1.8 comes out im most likely going to work as a farmer on the server.
oh I forgot to mention I became involved in doing some art recently and you can find that here (I know im kinda bad at art )
Mkay... i made non-brick alternates to Iron, gold, and diamond blocks... ill put em up here when i get home, in a few hours.
I suppose I should've shown you guys my new non-brick alternates... which at this point, they don't coordinate with the lighting because of its overwhelming gradience.
So I'll be looking forward to the design, but take all the time time as you need. :biggrin.gif:

Yea, school work... I know what you mean.
I suppose the first texture I should work on is the melon, knowing that you are going to be a farmer! However, I've been busy and will probably be busy with whatever until later this week.
Btw, that art ain't half bad... I never really tried making art like that before, so perhaps I should be given a challenge, at least so I can test my abilities! All that I have ever done was 16-bit textures... nothing else. :tongue.gif:
no offense but this looks like the quandary texture pack.
It was originally a custom edit of quandary. I actually started using it because there was an update a while ago, and quandary wasn't updated for a long time, but I saw this "best of quandary" which it was called once, and I downloaded it.

None taken.
Well, you can say that because most of my content once originated from Quandary... but I have evolved since then; so much so that ExtraNoise is proud of this spin-off (at least I hope he is). Much of the content in this pack today has either been of my own design or edited mostly from Quandary's work. Either way, there is no need to worry, I have plans to raise the standard, create alternate textures which are planned to correlate to seasons; texturing at my own pace... as I have done to the glowstone, half-stone slabs, sugar cane, and redstone... The only thing getting in my way is school work and what not. Come to think of it, am I the youngest texture artist on the front page of popular packs?
If you would like to make any suggestions on what you would like to see in this pack, then go on right ahead! One of the things that makes this pack worth while is pleasing the fans of this pack with something they can use for months on end.
Oh, and just so you know, Quandary will be updating his pack very soon. He may never be on the forums here, but he sure is active on reddit! He said, "I will have an update out for full-on Quandary for 1.8 tonight (hopefully), if you don't want to wait for Coterie."
Personally, I don't think I will have the time to fully texture 1.8 until all my school work is out of the way... but when I do develop the content, I can assure you it won't be like Quandary; I am more experienced than I was when I began to go beyond that.

Just my prefrence ... but with the 1.8 textures, everything looks ALRIGHT with default ... but if your gonna work on one texture first ... can it be Vines ?? there really noisey and i think youll do wonders with them ^^

I'll do what I can :wink.gif:
But I probably won't get to texture anything until Wednesday... so...
Perhaps I should open up some discussion in the meanwhile, which I will elaborate on as soon as I have the time to do so.

Curse PremiumA meanie?! Nah...
I can give you credit within the description of the specific textures the person has chosen.
Or...
I could give you credit in a section for contributors like yourself.
Which would you like? Both, perhaps?
