I'll keep these very nice screenshots in the back of my mind, for now.
Which makes me wonder... is it possible to run an image slideshow of these, rather than a trailing stream of stills? (Although I am aware of Planet Minecraft's capabilities on this matter, I just want to know if I can create a slideshow in one image space on this thread... though I guess it would be more feasible just to have a spoiler contain the images (It's also better on the eyes to keep up with).)
You could put them all in a .gif file that makes them into a slideshow. I would do this for you but I have no idea how.

Don't worry about it, I'll figure it out.
And even if I don't... there's not much need for it, considering that having a .gif would involve a longer time to load up this topic (and I would not want anyone to suffer because of this).

I don't think it would be very much slower. Maybe if you put it in a spoiler?
You know what has bothered me for the months on end?
The fact that some people still use the old Coterie Craft banner, rather than the fixed version I am wearing myself (there were some lettering faults of mine in between the "R" and the "I" in "Coterie" as well as between the "R" and the "A" in "Craft.")
This week, I have confirmed with you that I should focus on Modding Support. However, priorities have overwrote that claim of mine . In preparation of the Adventure Update, I want to work on texturing any and all textures that have been mentioned Beta 1.8 for the sake of my pack's survival. When Beta 1.8 comes out, many people will flock to the nearest source of quality work with 1.8 compatibility. At that time, I must be ready... moreover, I must be ready long before anyone else.
So... how long you say? I would say... about 1-2 good weeks if it hasn't been released yet. But if it is released, I will unleash my inner texture artist (like an adrenaline rush) and I get it done as fast I can! However, you must also consider that homework is a huge factor! And so it could get in the way of my work...
And about that glowstone lantern you've mentioned... would you like the current color scheme, or something more modern? I might be able to get the customizer up and running again, but I will not know if I can get it back into good shape. You are aware of my ideas for Plethora, right?
Awesome, thanks for the reply!
It seems that Mojang is working with the tentative release date of September 8th/9th, according to Jeb's Twitter. And as always, homework is definitely first priority - I would never ask anybody to jeopardize their grades over a game. Your timeline already sounds reasonable enough.
Regarding lanterns, my preference - and it applies to all things Minecraft textures - is rustic. So with lanterns, I really prefer wooden frames with the light source semi-hidden in the middle. I know it absolutely destroys immersion once you enter the Nether, but... that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for ceiling lights and lamp posts. In terms of colour and style, I think your interpretation of glowstone is spot on.
I have another question/suggestions. Once 1.8 drops, and we've *finally* got proper stone bricks, what will you do with the cobblestone for Coterie? Will you make a new texture for the cobblestone, which is more... cobblestoney, or will it remain the same, and just make a new texture for the actual bricks? Why do I feel like that sentence is really confusing?

What is Plethora?
Are lanterns actually going to be in 1.8? Anyways, it does seem that Coterie Craft is missing something a bit more modern to it's texture pack, but I don't know... Maybe...
In the past, me and Cpt. Corn had two ideas of cobblestone: a strait, more stone brick like texture, and a rounder, broken up stone. We might change the cobblestone texture and make the stone bricks better looking, or keep the cobblestone texture, and switch the stone block texture. I believe it will be the 1st choice though.
Plethora is the idea of combining Coterie Craft with Paintery Pack to create a uni-pack, or in other words, an universal one.

Nothing else will be added in 1.8 only fixes as far as ive read
As in more added that whats already been said, not nothing is added =p ... those textures are final basically =p

I guess I should clarify what I said a bit. I meant that it'd be nice to see an alternate texture for the glowstone that looked like a lantern, a la Painterly Pack, John Smith, etc.

Well, considering that I've finally finished my big projects (namely, the senior autobiography)... I think I'll have plenty of time to texture Beta 1.8 before it releases!
Lanterns is a GO.
And... I will be making a new cobblestone texture that isn't brick-like. I'm sure the server admins at Macropolis can filter the cobble to new brick style if necessary.
Now the thing that concerns me... is the gold, iron, and diamond blocks. I have the texture capable of making that concept look awesome, but is that favorable compared to actual ingots? Well, I guess I can administer the variable in 1.9 for people to try out, release a poll, and see if they want the old style back.
EDIT: Oh, and about Plethora... let me elaborate.
Coterie Craft's Plethora (Customizer) will unify the trinity between Coterie, Quandary, and Painterly. Essentially, I want to transform Painterly's "noisey" work into something with a Coterie quality to it. Of course, this is only an idea at the moment, but it will certainly stand out; perhaps as Painterly's "Evil Twin." (well... not that evil...)
I guess I should clarify what I said a bit. I meant that it'd be nice to see an alternate texture for the glowstone that looked like a lantern, a la Painterly Pack, John Smith, etc.
However, would anyone tell me what each new texture is?
Tell me what textures you don't know. And if you look at the contents of 1.8 on the wiki, you can figure out most blocks. I just don't know what the couple plants below the wheat are and the things next to the breaking animation are. Oh, and that line to the left of the bed.
No bother, you have:
- Watermelon, top and side,
- Dungeon cage/railings (looks like sugar cane, in cage form),
- You should have dungeon block which will be:
- Smooth
- Broken
- Mossy
- Mushrooms, giant red/brown (I think)
As for the 3 below the final stage of wheat...Don't know, some new foliage?
Perhaps a swamp-biome related texture.
I think that's them all dude :3
The ones beside the wheat are the Town Boarder Markers. The closest will be the light which will emit from the lines, 3 blocks tall. The Strait lines and curved ones... wait, do I have to explain what those are for?
You could put them all in a .gif file that makes them into a slideshow. I would do this for you but I have no idea how.

Curse PremiumSure, good organization and all, but the New OP has graphical elements to it (which isn't priority, at the moment)!

Things will be a little out of context ... but he has released the textures ^^
However, I think the cacti are a bit dull. Maybe make them a bit greener?
Awesome, thanks for the reply!
