Been using this texture ever since quandary had been lagging in it's releases back then and I have to say, Coterie craft has come a long way since then! :smile.gif: .
A suggestion I have for this texture pack would be to make dirt slightly lighter (not as much as the default) as it easily appears pitch black when underground.
Thanks again for the awesomeness!
Try turning up the gamma, either in your computer's display settings, or directly on your monitor, if the option is available.
But now I feel that because I fixed the problem regarding Beta 1.7, the beds and cakes are going to be screwed up for Beta 1.6.6 users who play on their outdated servers. :unsure.gif:
When it becomes an issue, I'll upload a fix that is more noticeable (as I have the download in the changelog if anyone needs it)
You see, Beta 1.7 moved the bed and cake textures to the bottom of its current grid (it originally was bordering the top). Because of this, Beta 1.6.6 users will experience the texture issue that PaoMon presented earlier.
So, the solution to this is to assure that you can find v1.5 (Beta 1.6.6)
I am very pleased to see my submissions in Planet Minecraft obtain such acclaim! \o/
In under 24 hours, Coterie Craft was made a 'Popular Texture Pack' in the Texture Packs section.
In under 2 days, Coterie Craft made it in the top 100 texture pack author rankings.
I give great thanks to every Coterie/Quandary Reborn/BoQP user out there, and even greater thanks to my fellow contributors who have made this pack possible!
You should be a popular TP. Yours is very good, it's got the default feel, but looks better.
It doesn't change minecraft's feel like GoodMorning craft, it just looks better.
You have a great texture pack dude.
also, glad to see it is now 1.7....I missed it for those two days.
Oh also, thanks for using my comment on your PlanetMinecraft thing, though I'm sure you could find a better quote...

Thanks, Blakids. When I want something to look like 'New Default', I want it to be the very thing Minecraft must have, a look that must be eye-pleasing to everyone in mind.
Oh, and also your quote was more recent than others, so I figured it would do, and you are very welcome.
Though I can't believe that a few people are actually giving it a dislike. I just wish I could make it up for them... where did I do wrong? Not 100% original, perhaps? (even if they are major edits)
Despite that setback, I am very proud to see my work attain such a feat. :cool.gif:
I love everything except the planks and the glass. The planks seem too smooth and don't go with everything else as a result, and the glass looks like white lines, like a white cage. The glass could have something like the original glass texture in the middle, only a few lines to make it look less like a cage?
I'm assuming its a problem with your monitor, because if it is... then you might also be seeing simple wool as well. But if it isn't... then I'll continue what I have to say.
The wooden planks texture has been the finest its ever been, smooth, but detailed. I'll fix it up when I can, but will only include it in the next update if it is better.
The glass, on the other hand, is a different matter... and the texture itself might become more of a debate than a quick texture fix. But, I can tell you this:
I believe that I will soon provide CTM (better glass mod) support. This will eliminate the cage-like feel entirely, but at the same time give small windows a nice, clean border.
I've mentioned it time and time again on how the New OP is going to work.
Well, here's my example that you now see in the Original Post:
It's a puzzle of images that form into one large image. The reason for this is to allow myself to choose the location in which I can place a link. In the example, you can click the globe on the right (and only the globe) and it will navigate you to my profile where you can subscribe and or find all of my work as it is listed.
Though if there was a way to do this in a simpler fashion, it would be this:
The BBC code allows us to type and perform the functions that can be resourceful in presenting our words and content.
So, let's say this new plug-in exists... in which you can take your image and address the pixel coordinates in which the link can be positioned. I guess it could be done this way, in example:
Wow, I love this texture pack and have definently using instead of my default. Now things up close and far away look good. Instead of far away looking a pixel crammed and up close pixelated.
So Cpt. Corn if you can can you make your texture pack compadible with the Better than wolves mod also if you like the better glass, bookshelves and chest mod I think this would look epic with the better than wolves mod though :smile.gif: so if you are willing to do it that would be great
You should also upload your texture pack on: http://www.planetminecraft.com/ that way you can get more people downloading it. keep up the good work

I can confirm with you that I will support those mods. :laugh.gif:
And if you haven't noticed, I already have uploaded my pack on Planet Minecraft 4 days ago...
Unfortunately, considering that there was a troll earlier who gave my pack so much negative tension, which resulted in the doubt of my work and for the fact that I am gaining more and more dislikes, I feel as if I should re-upload my pack when the seasons are ready, because I do not believe that I will get my reputation back after what happened. Unless you guys think otherwise...
So, my advice to anyone who meets a troll. Make sure he's out of the house before he makes a fire!
Alright, I sent a message to Markus Persson (Notch) on Facebook about... well its right here if you want to read it:
Please consider my words before you decide otherwise. As you do not know me... but I really had no other way to respectfully contact you.
Anyways, I would like to mention the work I have been processing for months so far. For I am here to bring Minecraft the look it deserves to represent itself, a 'New Default'. Essentially, I want to improve the gameplay and fervor of Minecraft. And fortunately, I have accomplished this feat in the eyes of the many people who use my texture modification package... most have made it their favorite, and still continue to use it. The pack has about 175k downloads in total.
...in hopes that you will accept my potential, and or confirm with me if you will consider adding a new set of textures to Minecraft. As I am sure that you are aware that many dislike the default textures.
Please do keep in mind, that my work has always been a 'progression to perfection,' and so I have made it my duty to make sure that every texture that I have provided is favored amongst my many users. If there ever comes a time when a texture is flawed by the user, then I will see to it that it is refined in the next update, and hopefully brought to perfection. I cannot settle for less, my eyes demand candy!
Thank you for your time, Notch.
Sincerely, Cpt. Corn
P.S.: Please do friend me if you want, by the way. xD
P.S.S.: I truly hate my username, CornTheHorn. It was catchy when I was younger, but now I prefer to be called Cpt. Corn. Whenever possible, can you please allow whomever to change it. :wink.gif:
While it's a well written letter, I don't see it happening. He added texture pack support for a reason and since day 1 he's expressed a liking of the default textures. Unless he's entirely smitten by this pack, I can expect "That's why we added texture pack support" as a response. I love this pack don't get me wrong, but I don't see him changing something he's stuck by since MC's start.

Curse PremiumWell it was only one guy, but maybe the damage will repair itself. :wink.gif:
I guess his version of 'constructive' criticism was to demolish, then make the author build.
