That's a nice update you have all planned out... it would be a shame if something happened to it...
Anyways, by the looks of it, it may be possible to start texturing the map based on the visible pixels I see present. But as of now, I am trying to texture whatever comes my way.
As far as development goes... I believe it will be a slower process for some time, apparently. As you have the right to know, my mom's life expectancy is uncertain as to how long she will live, concerning that she still has liver cancer and the struggles of living day-to-day after going through an intense, yet successful, surgery in removing the colon cancer. It would mean more than to the world of Minecraft to be the caring son my mom expects me to be, rather than to escape that reality by the enjoyment of the computer. I would not want it to seem more of a higher priority than my own mother.
This does NOT mean that I am discontinuing the pack. This simply means that this is no longer a priority of mine, at the moment. I will probably still be on the Forums, do some development, and maybe enjoy the awesomeness of the Macropolis.fr server (as I have been doing for the past few days of my Spring Break). But we'll see how things roll...
Now I never thought there would be a day that this would happen, but I am afraid I might have to put a donate button on the OP. My mom has gone through so much medical treatment, as you know, and she suggested if I could make some money (non-profit) just to ease the financial stress of the medical bills. But before I can do that, I need to know the legalities behind the donate button if I am to put myself in this position as this would be a form of support... at least so I can convince my mom to accept the support of donations, because people have been sued (she should know, she once was a paralegal). The pack itself is free, of course.
I'll try my best to satisfy all parties, but maybe I'm just in the first stage of grief: Denial.

Sorry to hear about your mum, man. Don't even bother updating this pack until everything is sorted out unless you really do have spare time, because obviously, real life trumps minecraft tenfold. I know plenty of others would agree that this is possibly THE best 16x pack out there, but I'm sure that they can all respect the fact that you have to spend time with and look after your mother in-case worst comes to worst, which I sincerely hope it doesn't. when will this be compatible with wildgrass?
i just dont think the usual textures for grass, vines etc. fit to this awsome texture pack.

There are actually different forms of foliage in correspondence of the red and yellow flowers that appear as a different in different biomes. There are also vines that appear under trees, appearing naturally in the rainforest. You only have the grass and lily-pads so far.
So I'm not completely compatible, in fact. (not yet)
I think that if the requests for updates come up, I think it's best for you to select 3 fourmers to temporarily take over Coterie Craft, but all updates would be counted as unoffical, so that you may resume your work, you know, so you can take care of your mom without worry about your fanbase. Some just don't understand.

This is Coterie Craft! A coterie of people welcomed to speak their mind in order to provide a better texture pack. Everyone is welcome to bring their own unofficial updates, as long as they do not distribute without appropriate credits to the original author(s).

Are you going to do a lava texture because I tend to use a lot of different packs so I patched it because I usually use 64x64 packs and I tried this one out and the water looks ok but the lava is just orange?
The lava is smoothly pixilated, but the lava will be at a much more noticeable pixilation and much more red in v1.4 :wink.gif:

Could you make an alternative version with bumpmaps for this kind of shader? Bumpmaps make it look like the world is popping out. You can check the videos there for demonstrations. The Balea Release video features specular and bumpmapping. I want to see Minecraft/Coterie Craft in a new world. I'm not sure if you can do this, but please do.
