Smoothstone, like regular rock that you get cobblestone from when you mine it.
Oh... that. I just call it stone.
But yes, that is one of the textures I plan to redo. I've tried countless times to give it a smooth look, but gave up and focused on what was more of a priority: to texture mobs.
I can assure you, however, that their will be a new 'smoothstone' texture in the future. :wink.gif:
I've gotten more experienced with the texturing since then, so I'm hoping to get that texture done for v1.4, and I will use that texture for the background of the various ores.
i would suggest you NOT to remove the previous versions of this pack... because i have'nt updated my game yet.. and i would like to see a download link to the 1.4_01 and previous versions possibly.. of this texturepack.
Alright then, I will post the previous versions of the pack. I have every version dating back to its very first release back in late December. But I won't get around it for now, but certainly I will today.
hey umm do u think you can retexture the obsidian? it seems a lil too dark... i made my storage safe out of it, and it seems like its not lit, even though it is.

We'll see. I will make it lighter, but only if it looks better.
Honestly, obsidian is as dark and glossy as obsidian can be, but I'll make an effort to make it easier to see if that's the case.
I just downloaded the pack, and I'm playing with version 1.3 of Minecraft...
The pack is great, but tree leafs and grass (top of it) are gray :/
I've made some investigations, and it appears that the first square on "terrain.png" is gray, and should be green (or whatever grass color). Same goes for leafs.
How can I fix it? (maybe you can?)
Alright, that's all I wanted to know.
You are a Mac user. Therefore, any texture pack you use will not adhere to biome-compliancy. This is the very reason why I have included the Mac versions all this time, or else you would have to suffer gray grass and leaves.
So thanks for your investigation liberto, I was just checking if Notch fixed that problem yet, and it's sad to say that it has not came to his consideration to fix it, not yet anyway.
The fix for this problem is simple, provide green grass and leaves instead of the assumed biome-compliant gray grass and leaves, which are in the Mac version.
However, I feel as if the grass color is not at its best, nor are the colors regarding the foliage. So I'm hoping to fix that in v1.4 (coming to a forum near you).

Well, actually I'm a Windows user, and I downloaded the Window version. Maybe I should try with the Mac one?
Anyway, now I know that there is some "assumed biome-compliant gray grass and leaves". I wasn't aware of that !
Strange thing is that on any other pack, the first square is green on "terrain.png".
Is that because of any update that has been made during 1.4 or 1.5 ? (I remind you that I'm playing on version 1.3)
EDIT : Well, that is strange. I've tested the mac version, and everything looks fine. How come the Windows version doesn't work with me ?
Well that's a first... When you posted about this problem of yours, I was requesting for someone who is a Mac user to see if biome-compliancy works on the regular version. But now I do not understand what minorities are effected... I've had the Mac versions since the release of Quandary Reborn (same pack, but different name), so you only remind me of someone months ago, but he was a Mac user.
Anyone care to explain? (I'm stumped)
And if any Mac users can go try the regular version to see if there are gray grass and leaves, that would also be appreciated.

Curse PremiumCan't wait to check it out! Especially the speed and performance of the new server. XD
I'm hoping that the speed will be internationally favored to all citizens. :biggrin.gif:
Yep, that's the one :smile.gif:
Btw I agree on stone having a "smoother" look.
It could be a GREAT building block for houses.

Curse PremiumPlease take a screenshot of foliage or a grassy landscape of you using that version that is not for Mac users, despite you are a Mac user.
If it shows gray grass and leaves, take the screenshot anyway.

Curse PremiumBUMP?
In English: "I say no!"
En Espanol: <<iNo digo mas!>>
My words of advice to you, for all you have said is "BUMP!"
You must BWUMP, not BUMP. Bwump is a bump with reason and purpose. Bumps show no real help.
See the difference.
(This post is also a bwump.)
I have no idea what the creeper you just said.
