Who feels like iron blocks should be solid rather than brick-style?
I've noticed many builders use iron for ships, steampunk airships, tunnels, classy tiling, etc... I know for sure that gold will stay the way it is, but iron (even if it is consisting of ingots) is more frequently used for steel structures.
As for diamond, I like the way it can be used for decorative purposes in its 3x3 grid per meter... The texture style of these 3 precious blocks (gold, iron, and diamond) gives them their own feel and designated purpose.
I for one actually love the brick-styled iron blocks, it gives a nice touch to my house.
What I think you should do is add it in as an alternative texture for those who prefer having a plain solid iron block so there won't be 10 people asking you to give them a solid block and another 10 asking for a brick-style block.
But... ehhh... you're the one who made the pack so you decide.
By the way you deserve this - [I wish I could give it to you in the real game]
Do you think the lack of feedback has been due to the fact that the pack is getting close to perfection?
The lack of feedback was due to the name change from Quandary Reborn to Coterie Craft. Ever since that change, our attention from the masses were cut in half, and so was the download count. In a matter of two weeks or less we improved and managed to get our attention back the way it used to, however there was still a lack in replies and or awesome critiques I miss so... We were doing well off on our own, for the download count had improved and we were on the first page in view count struggling to stay at the top 50, and we were improving each day, but other packs were pushing us down at a faster rate than we can keep up. Whenever Minecraft was updated, I would be the first to update, and so we had some attention and a spike of views from that. But that was the past...
Coterie Craft never had the recognition of the Texture Pack Central Mod List as many packs had acquired in their early months. We had done very well without it, in fact, and we made it on the first page anyway. Though like it was as if this pack grew tenfold (no wait, it did), we had finally made it to the Texture Pack Central Mod List starting from the very beginning of April. Attention, recognition, view count, download count, etc. all increased by tenfold. So with great thanks to Lilyo, we are at full speed in this race to the top!
With this dramatic increase in views and what not, you can expect more feedback and even feedback at youtube. With all this notoriety, my goal is to make updates bigger and quicker. But as you can imagine, my time for this project did not get longer, unfortunately. Regardless, the weekend serves as the only time nowadays at which I can work, at least so much time to get an update through. The weekdays serve as a time to receive criticism (though still lacking, surprisingly) in order to understand and then later improve the quality of this pack. So until then, I am at your service to do what the people want combined with the help of my fellow contributors, I expect to see improvement and progress towards perfection. I follow by my main goal, and I wish to see it though until the end.
We are getting close to perfection, however, but that does not end my craving for massively epic critiques I have received in the past, which I miss so dearly. All this praise is greatly appreciated, in fact, they deserve diamonds because I really do like praise. But criticism towards the pack is something I really treasure... but the lack in that medium is either because this pack is actually getting close to perfection, or maybe because people are afraid to reply, which I really hope that isn't the case...
Well said, my buddieh. Well said.
I think it's the second case, because most people, such as I, don't really comment unless it is too epic for my brain, aka this.

Sounds fair to me... I will add the solid block as an alternative.
And speaking of diamonds, which are plentiful in my world (real game diamonds too), what about the diamond texture? Should I just spruce up it's 3x3 design, or create a solid block?
I leave it to the people to make decisions like these. As much as I have the vision for each texture, I would prefer to allow the time for the people to see what they want in the pack, rather than downloading something unexpected. I, of course, set it in stone when it is decided.
Please please please redo or edit the sandstone, rightnow I feel it's lost the nice white look it has in default and looks kinda like cardboard boxes. Other than that I feel everything else is perfect.

You like the default sandstone ? Weird.
I LOVE the new one. Even more than the bricky old one, which was already great.
But the new one is perfect, it's easy to spot, but mix extremely well with natural sand biomes. The "sand layers" style is, imo, the way that sandstone SHOULD have always look. And I can assure you that our sand world, Deadland, on Macropolis.fr, has never been so beautiful, with all those buildings in sandstone lost in the giant desert.
Tried yesterday with a fresh install of MC, with default textures, and I wouldn't like a return to default sandstone. It doesn't fit well, at all.
Exactly, the sand layers serve as sedimentary rock as it should have been in the first place.
The current Diamond solid block has too many parts or bricks in it. It is too unrealistic seeing as it is only made from 9 diamonds.
I believe you would like something more like a crystal of some sort. A solid diamond block may be too plain, but then again, making a 16x16 image look like a seamless crystal will either give off the look of gravel or it might actual work. Though I'm not too sure on where I should go with it... so I'll leave it to the people
And since its Friday, I can begin development of v1.2 at long last. Surely, I know what must be done.
Just thought I'd say that I'm really liking this pack. I'm going to install it this weekend.
But is there a better video to show off the different aspects of the pack?
I've looked at a couple videos, and they really don't give a very good idea of the "whole" of the pack.
Either they focus on wide-angle shots of the whole landscape (which fails to show detail) or they don't do a good job of showing lots of blocks (I have no idea what the furnace looks like) or they don't show different lighting schemes (sunlit cobblestone vs cobblestone in a dungeon).
I'm afraid I'm not talented with videos in the least. But I think having a clear, fairly thorough, and simple video would really help the first post in giving us an idea of what we're getting when we download it. And that's really the most important thing - how it looks. (No offense but I care more about how a texture pack looks than where it came from; two more detail-oriented pictures would help the first post way more than a whole history lesson about Quandry)

As much as history is important, you are correct. The OP is lacking screenshots, and I will upload some when I can. I'll probably provide the screenshots after uploading v1.2 (still in development).
Here are the only four videos on Youtube that have used my texture pack:
I can tell you another Macropolis.fr video will come in the future, as far as I know. But I'm hoping that it will be released by v1.2 or better, at least for now.
It appears that my banners are a bit off in their font.
As you can see, the 'F' in Coterie Craft does not follow the format. So, banners will be reuploaded at some time, but your own banners will still remain functioning.
@Master7432: I never forgot your request, and it is in the works. I'm making you 'Master 7432: certified wingman', or just 'wingman' if I can't find the space.
@i_r_everyday_azn: Would you also like a custom banner? I'd make you 'i_r_everyday_azn: Night Shift' or something like that. As you comment when I sleep.
I assure you, banners will be the last thing to do for v1.2, as they are not a priority at the moment.
Hey there, thanks for the excellent pack. Just wanted to comment that I miss the old Sandstone texture, and do not care for the new one. I see in the terrain.jpg you have the old texture in an unused area, so maybe you were debating about which to keep? Whatever the case may be, the old texture was nice because it actually looked like a building material, not just solid sand.

Keep up the good work, regardless.
The sandstone bricks were alternate textures for manual installment. I found it weird to find bricks in nature, as sandstone can be found in deserts. For that reason, the newer sandstone texture, a texture that is true sandstone, had to be the one used in the pack, but the brick-style sandstone remained because there was still a minority of people who absolutely loved building with that material, and I just couldn't take that away from them.
So, once you edit your terrain.png then you can enjoy the older sandstone.

F in Coterie Craft... That's not really critical, unless you're a perfectionist, that it.
About the banners, got it. Don't push yourself on those. I think the highest priority right now is the bed and cookie icons, as well as the mobs.
Oh wow . . . nice pack. Coming from a fellow Quandary Pack Modifier, it looks gorgeous.
Speaking of which I thought packs that contained other people's work (modified or not) were not allowed on the Texture Pack Central List? If this is not the case I am totally putting mine up :tongue.gif:

Curse PremiumI did not request for Lilyo to add my pack, he did that out of his own will.
This pack is a spin-off of Quandary. With my own goal and sense of originality.
I even have an originality log to credit where each texture is from whom.
