This texture pack has encouraged me to make my own :3
Thanks :biggrin.gif:
Go for it! :biggrin.gif:
One word of advice, however: do not make it like simple craft. :tongue.gif:
If you can make it better than simple craft but still look like simple craft, then you can do it like simple craft.
You do have a point there, but the population of simple crafts are generally high, that's all.
And I see that the texture pack poodoo138 made was a remix of Doku, Eld, Coterie, and Quandary. It's called Dokuorie. I don't know how that will work exactly, but at least he's got a texture pack in his hands to work on... though he should probably post a link to their texture packs for proper credit though, it's only fair.
Really like this pack. Please make it a little more detailed yet seeming smooth at the same time. Overall good job!
I'm always refining the textures, making sure that they improve with each update. Its a progression to perfection.
Detail incorporated with smoothness allows the texture to seem HD. So even though you have 16x16 pixels to work with, you can still create an effect that makes it feel like there are more pixels.
Very nice. Keeps the original look of Minecraft, but it looks a lot more detailed. I really like the ore blocks and armor. :]
That's the origin of Quadary, which was the origin of this pack.
That means a lot Clip, thank you. :biggrin.gif:
And about the origin... Quandary's goal is to spruce up the default textures, as you may know... my goal is to not just spruce up default, but something else on top of that. I wish to bring Minecraft to what I call the "new default", the way Minecraft should look like, but only in the respect where I have actually improved the gameplay and fervor of Minecraft.

Do you think the lack of feedback has been due to the fact that the pack is getting close to perfection?
The lack of feedback was due to the name change from Quandary Reborn to Coterie Craft. Ever since that change, our attention from the masses were cut in half, and so was the download count. In a matter of two weeks or less we improved and managed to get our attention back the way it used to, however there was still a lack in replies and or awesome critiques I miss so... We were doing well off on our own, for the download count had improved and we were on the first page in view count struggling to stay at the top 50, and we were improving each day, but other packs were pushing us down at a faster rate than we can keep up. Whenever Minecraft was updated, I would be the first to update, and so we had some attention and a spike of views from that. But that was the past...
Coterie Craft never had the recognition of the Texture Pack Central Mod List as many packs had acquired in their early months. We had done very well without it, in fact, and we made it on the first page anyway. Though like it was as if this pack grew tenfold (no wait, it did), we had finally made it to the Texture Pack Central Mod List starting from the very beginning of April. Attention, recognition, view count, download count, etc. all increased by tenfold. So with great thanks to Lilyo, we are at full speed in this race to the top!
With this dramatic increase in views and what not, you can expect more feedback and even feedback at youtube. With all this notoriety, my goal is to make updates bigger and quicker. But as you can imagine, my time for this project did not get longer, unfortunately. Regardless, the weekend serves as the only time nowadays at which I can work, at least so much time to get an update through. The weekdays serve as a time to receive criticism (though still lacking, surprisingly) in order to understand and then later improve the quality of this pack. So until then, I am at your service to do what the people want combined with the help of my fellow contributors, I expect to see improvement and progress towards perfection. I follow by my main goal, and I wish to see it though until the end.
We are getting close to perfection, however, but that does not end my craving for massively epic critiques I have received in the past, which I miss so dearly. All this praise is greatly appreciated, in fact, they deserve diamonds because I really do like praise. But criticism towards the pack is something I really treasure... but the lack in that medium is either because this pack is actually getting close to perfection, or maybe because people are afraid to reply, which I really hope that isn't the case...
This is probably my favorite texture pack outside default packs that only fix the 'bad' textures (glass/cobble/etc). It is certainly well on its way to becoming a "new default", so great work!
Who feels like iron blocks should be solid rather than brick-style?
I've noticed many builders use iron for ships, steampunk airships, tunnels, classy tiling, etc... I know for sure that gold will stay the way it is, but iron (even if it is consisting of ingots) is more frequently used for steel structures.
As for diamond, I like the way it can be used for decorative purposes in its 3x3 grid per meter... The texture style of these 3 precious blocks (gold, iron, and diamond) gives them their own feel and designated purpose.

Curse PremiumI guess so. XD
I especially love how each type of armor set has it's own design, which is neat. And that it's 16x16.
And I don't know where I'm going with this.
Awesomepack~
"I shoot my arrows in the air sometimes...." T.N.T.

Curse PremiumRed-pinkish clay is one of the "improving gameplay" aspects of the pack. It is easier to see and makes significantly more sense than gray clay.
Now... tell me bug719, what is the hype about Dragon Cave? I see it all over the forums! (I clicked your egg by the way :tongue.gif: ).
Any chance you'll include custom break animations? The default ones are kinda crap.
Woo, Alice in Chains!
