Hi, I'm a fan of Quandary (And this pack) and I've been liking your version, I only have a few gripes, but I corrected them myself and wondered if you or anyone might want them, you or anyone can use any of the modified blocks in this terrain. Thanks for the awesome pack. : D
Full list of changes:
-Brightened and softened sand texture.
-Brightened and added a splash of Scarlet to the dirt.
-Darkened Planks to match the inside of the logs better, also applied to Workbenches.
-Softened Wool and Clay.
-Completely remodeled Cobblestone and Mossy Cobblestone, the old one looked awfully dangerous to walk on. x.o
-Added slight glow to Gold and Diamond, trust me it's much easier to see in a dark cave. ;D
-Added minute hue to Lapis Lazuli.
-Replaced current break animation with Quandary's break animation. (I could hardly see the one used in this pack before I finished breaking the block)
Thanks so much, can't wait for V1.1! ^^
I can surely see some of your edits making it into the pack, with all good reason. :wink.gif:
What do you think about Rabbittt's textures? This is a democratic pack after all.
Honestly I like the white wool. As for the pink, well I don't use pink that often to it doesn't bother me. The dirt however looks too, default, to say. It doesn't match the Coterie Craft of things. Coterie Craft is supposed to improve the default look of Minecraft, Rabbittt's dirt is too default. The ore is alright as well, although there is not much difference to matter. As for the sand, it's too white.
Hopefully this post will highlight somethings.
A message to Rabbittt: You have good ideas. Why not create your own pack, you definitely have the artistic needs for it.

@Rabbit Where the F**k is the link? I really like your changes!
just manually edit your terrain.png by pasting his on to yours.
Corn is there a way to make this HD? I want some custom water and lava from another pack and I know how to add them together but when I get on its stays the same.
P.S Still love your text pack!
Maybe add custom water and lava into the minecraft.jar, and then use the patcher.

What water and lava are you using by the way?
lol LB Photo realism haha but thanks for telling me that its helped out great! Something else that was on my mind was do you have to have MC Patcher to install it? Cause I tried using the normal way but it didn't work :/
The MC patcher is mandatory for custom animations (such as water, lava, fire, and portals) as well as HD content.
Here are the effects of some vignette.png's I wanted you to see for yourself. Wanted to know which one you liked the most: (a couple of them are ones that I have used before)
And here is something I came upon while in the aether of the Macropolis.fr server. Looks like the skeleton is getting creeper praise, or maybe it's just politicsssss...
IMHO, the clay looks way too pink, but it could be - like you said - softer.
Oh jeeze that was clay!!! I thought it was pink wool. Well now that it is clay, clay is smooth. It's supposed to be like mud, in a way. The clay in your case is too noisy. Too many impurities.

By the way, the clay we have now is a bit strange... the clay lump sprites carry a brighter color than the clay block itself, is that a problem? If so, I figure that the clay lump sprite must be changed, or vice versa.
That could be in a later update. I can't wait for the update. I see it will be large, so I think it should skip a few updates, like 1.0 to 1.5 or something.
I might be taking a long time difference between posts, so I'll be having a large list of optionals.

IMHO, the clay looks way too pink, but it could be - like you said - softer. The cobble looks like neatly arranged bricks, not exactly what "cobblestone" means. Cobble is raw broken rock, not bricks arranged nicely. I like the broken brick Cobble. The mossy cobble looks like broken bricks stitched together with thick green string. I like the wool and the planks. The ores, I barely notice ANYTHING different. I agree with the cracks being more visible though. Oh yeah, and your dirt is too default.
I think the Lapis Lazuli Ore needs to be a bit lighter than that.

Yes/No/Maybe/Desu?
A lot has been done in preparation for the next update, but not everything I planned will be finished... yet. I regard my update to be v1.1 rather than v1.5, seeing that I don't want to play hop-scotch from version to version.
Even if I don't finish everything I planned on, I will be releasing the content that I have made thus far sometime this Sunday.
Oh, and boats... I forgot about those. Thanks for the heads up! Optional, alternative content will come when I see that it must be done.
Desu means "it is, or is" in japanese.
so O namae wa i_r_everyday_azn desu will mean my name is i_r_everyday_azn. (O meaning my, and namae meaning name)
I took Japanese as a language in Year 8, and that is one of the few things i remember so please cherish the knowledge like a baby, no more like a sheep.

Thanks. Your Japanese is appreciated. :biggrin.gif:
I've been learning Spanish for three years in school so far.
Quite recently, I have been learning French in Macropolis.fr (For example: 'bonne nuit'= good night, 're'=hello again) XD
v1.1 ---(3/20/2011)
-Textured certain mobs:
>chicken (changed feather sprite along with it)
>creeper
>pig
-Re-textured side grass for v5 of the grass fix, which has been added.
-Black, gray, blue and brown wool textures has more noise.
-Added the brick-style sandstone as an alternate texture inside the terrain.png.
-Added Rabittt's edited wooden planks texture, along with the crafting bench.
>I also added a very minor edit to the wooden planks texture as well as the crafting bench's 3x3 grid.
-Textured redstone repeater.
-Edited break animation.
-Re-textured glowstone dust sprite.
-Re-textured lapis lazuli block, ore and sprite textures.
-Textured stick, fishing rod, arrow sprite.
-Textured arrow model.
-Added bonemouse's squid mob in the [Alternatives] folder.
-Added TyrannoFan's pack.png. (edited for v1.1 side grass)
-Edited Mojang opening screen.
-Textured the torch, lever, and ladder textures.
-Textured wood-oriented tools.
It has come to my attention that there might be some crediting issues corresponding to the textures I use and the textures I have made.
Many people say that I have used mostly Quandary textures, which is true, but I would like to focus that attention rather to how much originality I have applied in this pack.
That being said, I believe that there should be an "Originality Log" or somewhere along those lines to state what are the original textures, edited textures, contributors' textures, and unoriginal textures that are included in the pack. At the very most, it may be mentioned below the Development section. At the very least, it may as well be a readme.txt inside the texture pack. Either way, I basically want to record how much content is of my own design.
On another note, I feel as if I should have my own website, like Quandary and Painterly, to further extend the reach of the pack, knowing that google is on my side. As far as I know, my twin brother knows a little about creating websites, but not nearly enough to produce an extraordinary one. Any information regarding that topic would greatly be appreciated.

But since v1.1 is still in the works, I may make an up-to-date edit of it.

Curse PremiumI added the planks and might fuse the break animation with the one I have, because it is way too dark for cracks.
