*If you want me to see your post please quote me, thx* I decided to add this in too because (overloaded Mail box lol)
this is the best texture pack by far ( its the only one I've managed to use for a long period of time before getting bored i'm still using it )
i didn't know there was an rpg pack so i'm going to try that out please update to 1.6 and the tools textures are so good couldn't have imagined a better texture pack
Umm... you do realize that you are replying to comments made in January of 2011? xP
No worries though, I remember making the same mistake once. xD
^Just quoted so you would see this
I was looking through the files of your pack and noticed that there are Thumbs.db files throughout the entire pack. These serve no purpose and just add unnecessary size, so I took the liberty of removing them and also optimized all of the PNGs in the pack (no loss in quality, only filesize). In total this reduced the pack from 4.79MB to 3.2MB. I uploaded it here if you'd like to use it (I'm not asking for any credit) but if you'd like me to take it down, send me a message.

please i really need that texture pack... the link is broken for updated version.
Yikes! What the hell happened to the GUI design?
This was the best texture pack out there. I am having a difficult time dealing with the GUI of the workbench, inventory and chests for example. There is too much going on, lose some of the shiny gradients. It's way too distracting from the items in your inventory.
The stained clay needs some work also, right now it does not look too much like clay. The colors are pretty darn saturated and the slight texture of the stained clay blocks looks more like wool.

I Agree The Gui is way too busy it looks more futuristic.

I changed the GUI because I didn't want to use Painterly's GUIs. I would even argue that the Painterly GUIs didn't even fit the pack, since some of the GUIs didn't work for each other, like how regular wooden chests and ender chests shared the same GUI. When I created my own GUIs, I still struggled whether or not it would look like "New Default" and if it could hold the appeal of most of my users. Any way to improve these GUIs?
As far the stained clay, I had no part in the design of their textures. Ganlolde, who has administrative rights to the pack, made the textures. However, I do plan on fixing that in the next update.

The current stained clay is more or less a placeholder. It will receive a good bit more work before it is done.

Thanks for the reply. As far as suggestions for the GUI, as I mentioned before, it's too busy. There is a lot of contrast happening in the gui gfx alone. What was used before a while ago (wooden style and gray style) worked really well cause it was subtle and not distracting at all.
I don't mind your GUI color choice but, I'd try dropping the fake 3d and try making it fairly flat and neutral maybe with some texture.

TBPH, I think the green on the potato and carrot crop blocks is too dark, and could use some brighter shades and wider contrast. Also it would make more sense IMO for the half-horse-heart to be flipped the other way since the hearts drain from right to left rather than left to right, like the player's own health. I also agree that the hardened clay could use some touching up.
However, unlike the previous posts, I actually enjoy the GUIs a lot. It's hard to describe why, but it just feels fitting to me--I don't really know how. I think it looks a lot better than the old GUI, though.
Oh and also, the water looks broken after a few seconds.
Cpt. Corn, please reply to this. With the TU12 update coming out, there's texture pack support for the 360, so is there gonna be a Coterie 360 edition?
hmm... I wish the RPG one was updated to 1.6. Is it possible for you to use the textures from the original pack to replace the missing textures of the RPG pack? I hope you can, and I cant wait to use your pack!

Well, there have been plenty of awesome additions to the pack that my brother has made while I spiral with disappointment from where Minecraft has gone in their development. The only thing that keeps us from releasing all this new content for the RPG pack is the difficulty that we have with making some good ore textures, since we don't want to settle on placeholders when we do release the RPG pack.
There's also a matter of fact that with each time that Minecraft updates, it just makes it harder for texture packers to keep up, especially when I don't make texture packing a full-time thing... so that's also a burden.

Head over to Coterie Craft's PMC page (http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/16x-beta-17_01-coterie-craft-v16-regular-upd-6302011/). Click the second download link (it will say snapshot compatibility). Use that pack.

If I get some time I'll mock up a sample.

Curse PremiumAnother attempt at "better" cobble proved to be a failure, but I'm also getting the impression that no one really dislikes the old cobble either.
The beautiful cobble is here to stay. ;P
