Hey! I also just wanted to say that the this texture pack needs a shorter name. I've been thinking of the name Quandary Reborn. Has a nice name to it. This is optional, of course.
I just wanted to say that there are also a few graphical glitches within the game, but I really don't think you can fix these.
As you can see, the door's frame has disappeared! Oh noes!
Sorry about the large file.
The torches' rails are also disappear at different angles, and the fact the diamond helm's back is... not as noisy as the other armor parts. I don't know if this applies to all other armor types, but it's a bit odd having a (literally) perfect helmet back and then having diamond pants with black outlines.
Here is a vignette.png where during the night time, it gives off a cool blue, more or less like the moon plays tricks on you when at night in real life.
So the new title should be ◄Quandary Reborn (version 1.0) [Updated 1/26/2011]▶
It does have a nice ring to it. :biggrin.gif:
So for the next update, I will include Quandary Reborn with two downloads. One for Windows and other operating systems, and the other for Mac users (until Notch fixes this). Each download will be from mediafire and multiupload.
This also means I will have to change my thumbnail and banner.
And on a personal note, by which I don't know if you know this. For I am proud to announce it.
You see, I didn't buy this game. I won it as an honorable mention in a Halloween contest at the WoM server. Since then I would have never have known that I would be here today to contribute to such a marvel.
The admiration and numerous contributions to this texture pack have made it better than ever.
5 or 3. 3 has the slight modification that Quandary was aiming for, but 5 gives off more of a logs cut feeling.
EDIT: I forgot to suggest using the vignette.png. It adds the moonlight which gives a calming touch. What I know is that the colors get inverted, so that's why its brown. Trust me, it works wonders.

On account that one wood block (log) can be made into 4 blocks of wooden planks (log cuts), 5 is the texture that I would go with, for it makes sense. 3 is too flat for my taste.
Once I've thought about it, I realized 5 would be the best choice. Just make it with small marks like measuring, natural (dark eye mark, woodpecker holes, etc) for realistic-ness.
I've also added the vignette that I was begging you to add in.
The lava bucket now has a hot color. I guessing the bucket is gonna melt soon! (JK)
Fixed the water fail problem. Now it looks a bit boring.
Try it out! It's with the newest version.

EDIT: I've edited 2 things in the gui folder in here, the inventory and the item lava bucket.

Thanks! I tried the vignette thing in and it made me feel as if the lighting outside a dark cave was in HD!
I like the lava bucket, except I will edit it so no one burns their hands holding it.
What did you edit in the inventory.png in particular? I don't see any changes...
So you can expect these in the next update. Which will come tomorrow.
Edit: As for the wood texture, I will try to do what I can but I think I will keep it as it is. I would imagine if Texture 5 were to have certain feels to it, that would mean that the one speckle or line will occur for each and every block, so more speckles would have to be added in response to combat the pattern, so that it can flow well as a texture. So, I think it should remain smooth and polished.
I don't like the new planks, the graphic is way too plain, must say the previous one was better and wasn't catching my eye (in a bad way) as the latest one

See the water? It looks lower. You don't recognize it because it looks better.
Oh and, I modified the sun and moon from a different texture pack. Thank Kias!

I agree with you. Texture 5 wins.

Both textures have gray grass also.
Grass and leaves, I didn't mention the leaves before 'cause I don't mind it so much.

Also, I think the name should be changed to Quandary Reborn.
No, what is MCPatcher? Also I like Quandary Reborn, has a nice ring to it.

So I thank every one of you.
The Thumbnail and banner will be annoying to fix, unless you remember what you did :3
I like what you're going to do with the downloads, and I support your epicness! :biggrin.gif:
GO N- CPT. CORN!
The number representing the texture falls into the following detail:
1. Minecraft's default texture.
2. The original Quandary texture.
3. New, wooden texture. Smooth...
4. BoQ wooden texture (as of v3.1).
5. Edited lines from texture 4.
Which one of these textures would you want for the next update? Excluding textures 1 and 2.
I pick number 5.
