I am in the very early stages of creating my second texture pack. It is looking promising so far.
It is 32x32.
After creating SmoothStoned, which is a very generic texture pack, i decided i wanted to go do something original. I don't know about you guys, but i love wizards. :laugh.gif:
it will revolve around the theme of "black magic." it has taken a long time for me to get this pack up and going, because i had no idea how to make detailed textures, but the ball is rolling now and its off to a good start :cool.gif:
I will make a progress report post once the terrain.png is complete. hopefully there is lots of interest!
Also, thanks to all the wonderful support on this texture pack :tongue.gif: i've been inspired to do more.
For anyone who is interested, the Black Magic pack has half the terrain complete at this point. Once the terrain is done, i will release a WIP thread, with screenshots. It will not be available for download until it is completely finished. It is looking great so far, but i will not be satisfied unless it is amazing!
So to all you wizard fans out there, you will be pleased :tongue.gif:
I registered an account on this forum just so I could tell how wonderful you are for making such a simple and elegant skin. Dirt, cobblestone, wood, glass -- everything looks so nice and I can use them anywhere for aesthetics.
**** Doku, **** Quandary, **** Painterly; this is the greatest skin you will ever find.

Thanks, glad you like it! my aim was to get the smooth look of simple texture packs, but not bore you completely. I find that after using my pack for awhile, it is hard to change to something else :L
Do you allow to use this Texturepack little edited, with your credits
as a Server own Texturepack? Would be really cool.
I'm currently in Building a City with this Pack... For the Server i will host then. Simple and good Texures!
yes, i can allow it as long as i have credit for the texture
1.8 support is here, thanks to everybody for your patience. I decided to change the breaking animation, because the current one is kinda lame.
And sometime in the next few days, I will release the Alpha version of my next texture pack, "Black Magic." All it will contain is the terrain, water, lava, fire, and a few other small modifications. The completed version will be released as soon as possible.
And for anyone who wants to find out more;
Black Magic is a 32x32 pack. It does not contain any solid colour, unlike SmoothStoned. In fact, It has very few similarities to it.
As the name suggests, It has a very dark and sinister feel about it, however any structure will look amazing.
The pack is supposed to be "silky." Instead of applying pattern to every block, I have kept some with fairly flat design. If Black Magic has retained one thing from SmoothStoned, it would have to be simplicity, in a way.
Anyway, If you're not a core-simplicity pack person, i suggest giving it a look :tongue.gif:
Well, i'm glad to hear you still follow this pack.
I will try to release a 1.0.0 update soon, but after that there will be no more updates, i am afraid. :'( If someone wants to, they can resume official production of the pack with my permission. It's just that I struggle to find the time nowdays and i am no longer passionate :L sorry guys.
Please help! I don't know how to download! Can someone help? I don't have mods and I've tried to put the files into my Texturepack folder and I tried to put them on the minecraft thing and it won't work. Somme onee pleeeeaassee

to install, you must put the file "SmoothStoned.zip" into the texture pack folder, located within your mincecraft folder. Hope that helps!

It's a very good texture pack, I love the simplicity. Please don't stop working on it because I can't find any texture packs similar to this one. :sad.gif:
