So I've been playing Minecraft a decent amount of time now, usually with default textures, but soon that got bland and I tried some Texture Packs out. I did Painterly, Doku's RPG pack, and alot others. Those got boring too. I pulled out the trusty Paint.NET and opened up the terrain.png file. I sat for around an hour, and realized I was too lazy to edit each pixel by hand. So i grabbed one of the colors in the block, and filled that whole 16x16 space with that color. It looked so Flat, but stylish, I named the project...

It's so simple, yet smooth, your eyes will melt. I started this project around Dec. 20th and im still not done. I have most of the terrain.png done (Still gotta do Wool and Snow). I also worked on some of the items, and finished the Mobs and default player texture. I haven't done the boat, sign, or minecart textures, but ill get there in time. If you want an idea of how simple, and flat this is:

Flatcraft really looks interesting.

In decent time, i've practically finished the pack. Just a few mobs are undone, but mostly everything is completed. At the time, the items.png is terribly untouched, but here are the files and their status:

armor (Entire file, Chainmail not supported)
art (Unable to do, anyone who thinks they can make 'flat' versions, please post)
environment (Entire file)
gui (Everything EXCEPT items.png)
item (Entire file)
misc (Holiday edition pumpkin helmet)
mob (All mobs EXCEPT Ghast, Pigman, Zombie, and Spider)
terrain (Entire file)
Custom water and lava *Still and Flowing* (Finished)

Total Status: 88.8% Complete (Released at 90 or higher, im almost there!)

ANYONE WHO CAN MAKE 'FLAT' VERSIONS OF THE DEFAULT PICTURES IN MINECRAFT, PLEASE TELL ME OR CREATE THE FILE AND SEND IT TO ME. I WILL GIVE YOU CREDIT. =]

Sadly, i've realized now that im back in my house, that I have ALOT of things to do. Im not going to let the *few* that actually wanted my pack down, so im putting it up for public download. That doesn't mean im dropping the whole project, and making it anyones. So if you do happen to use it where others can see it (Youtube for example) please give me credit!

Secret Bump

I love your texture pack to the point where I use it exclusively. My only complaints is that I find gravel a bit too hard to tell apart from stone and Lava and Water didn't change from the original textures. Everything else is perfect for me.
I hope to see you continue to update this texture pack!

This project has been put to the back of my list for now, but gravel has a slightly more pink tinge than stone. Unless your coloration is off, when i saw gravel, it stood out. (All the colors were taken directly from the original block texture, other than leaves and grass, due to biomes. Gravel was from a slightly pink 'rock' in the texture)

EDIT: Also, if anyone is willing too, i do need a video to showcase the best of 'FlatCraft'. It will be posted on the OP for all to see, to let them think about getting my Texture pack. =D (Ill give credit, of course!)

Alright, after some time, i decided i want to get this back up, but with all the new items and block types, id rather start from scratch. I'll be making my own texture pack (Not a flat one like this) in the near future, and hopefully ill be able to keep up and update that.
