One suggestion I would make would to add a background to the leaf blocks that are used on the fast setting. Otherwise you are able to look through the earth.
Hoyl, done. I hadn't even thought of that. I fixed it, and it'll be fine on the next upload I do. Thanks for the heads-up.

Looking forward to the next update, keep up the good work.
you know...I'm with most people on the too many simple/clean packs here lately.. but this one stands out. a lot. it almost has a white collar professional feel to it, yet it is very soothing. from the looks of it so far you have just enough not smooth texturing to break up the monotony and make it pop, which is going to set this aside from the rest. keep up the good work, I like what you have going here and will add it to the shortlist with the unrealistic pack for the days I need a zen pack :tongue.gif:
Edit: and fyi every time I see your banner I hear Juanito in the back of my head from playing Tropico too damn much lol

Haha. Thanks alot man, it was nice to hear your words. Let me know of any criticisms you might have, we might both agree.

i'm guessing no... but it never hurts to ask..
would it be too much to ask of a 64 by 64 one of this? i understand it may require a lot of effort on your behalf and some things might turn out to be scratchy/pixilated. however I like many others who like the "clean" texture packs cannot use much higher res. packs than 32 but I would be willing to sacrifice a few frames (well, many frames to be honest..) if for this texture pack but I just don't like playing with pictures... if no, the don't be all in my ass because it's only a query.
Let me try JF, and see what happens. I'll get back to you. If I see it'll take alot of work to resize it, I prolly won't have the time. But if it is something simple, sure.
sometimes you can get away with just a simple resize...sometimes you have to redo every tile one by one... it's a 50/50 on that one.. one little tiling issue can throw it all out of whack.
and as far as any criticisms.. it's been said, but the gaps in the leaves on the trees.. that's about it.. if you need ideas for the custom break animation I have a cheat sheet with like 100 of them on it if you would like it... sad, but I think the one I'm using would work much better for your pack...lol or at least something similar. I'll post up the cheat sheet and link it to ya
Updated the file, please download the new version. I also put in a separate terrain.png if you don't want to use (dear god why not?!) the Biome-Colored sidegrass mod. Just rename it and use that one instead.
Gave non-fancy leaf blocks a background (thanks Hoyl)
Put some holes in the leaves block, let me know if I should put more.
Updated lightstone block, let me know. I still think Grugsy has the best 128x lightstone block, and I might just totally steal it from him.
Updated birch tree, let me know. I'm still a little meh on how it looks.
Some minor tweaks to soil/grass blocks and the bed.
Am currently using someone else's wheat textures, we'll see how it goes.
As usual, please let me know. I'll update the screenshots in a bit.
]It looks like I have finally found a 128px texture pack I actually like.
However, are you going to reskin all the mobs and items too in the future?
Jimbo...we'll see. I'm currently using Sanguine's mods and a mixture of 128x items in my personal file. Once the terrain is totally done, I might...but we'll see. Thanks for using btw.
hehe.. go for it.. good to someone thinks I have one of the best anything out of the 128x's lol
edit: I DO like your new one...maybe not for lightstone per say...I might just steal that and modify it a bit for an alternate lantern face tho :tongue.gif:
This texture pack breaks my minecraft when i try to use it. I really like it and wish i could use it.
Moklon, Darkneo, etc. Remember that to use any texture pack that is greater than 16x, like this one, you need to use Xau's HD texture fix. Follow the instructions listed there. It's simple to use, but necessary to be able to play this and other 128x texture packs. Texture packs don't break Minecraft, Minecraft is bugged and breaks when you try using HD texture packs, unfortunately.
You can post on GetSatisfaction, on the thread about HD texture packs, so that Notch and Co. fix the problem internally and we're all able to use 128x, 64x, and 32x texture packs without having to use the above-mentioned fix each time.
It seems like my game is crashing more often now. I also downloaded the Side-Grass fix and that seems to be working fine, but when holding a grass-block, the sides on the block icon is still transparent.
You using some inventory editor hack or whatnot? I can't hold grass blocks to save my life :tongue.gif: But that is probably a mod issue with the side-grass, post it on his forum, see what he says. I included the other terrain.png just in case, you can use that one if you keep having issues. Let me know.

Also, when it comes to the birch trees, try making the "main line" more solid, cuz it seems to be flickering when viewing it from a distance. The glowstone skin looks nice though.
Oh and one last thing. The wheat looks kinda out of place compared to all the other textures. Perhaps making the texture more 'simple'?
Done, and done. I'll upload the redone version with birch and wheat later. Told ya, I wasn't happy with either either. STILL not happy with either :smile.gif:
Updated with new birch, lightstone and wheat. Let me know if you prefer new lightstone or old lightstone. Meh on both counts imo. The wheat looks poop to me too.

I personally prefer the old lightstone, I think the new version stands out a little to much when used next to other blocks. Old Lightstone vs. New Lightstone Side Note: What I noticed when taking that screenshot of the new lightstone was that the smoke particle effect of the fire seems to be a little to large.
Wheat, well, I think you said it best, lol. I don't know what I would do differently other than slightly higher detailing and definitely not as sparse feeling.
As for the Birch Trees, I am going to copy the old one over and keep using that version. I like the idea behind the newer version; keeping it as a birch tree like Minecraft's default texture. But I love the old version for building purposes.
Love a lot of the other, mostly unmentioned, editions to the pack (Sun/Moon, Art, Hearts/Armor/Air Icons, Underwater Styling, Signs, Bettergrass/Sidegrass fix, Leaves, etc.).
Damn modem fried on me, just got the new one last night. I'll be fixing up the wheat texture, I think I found a nice way to do it. I also want to play around with the lightstone a little more, see if I can find a good compromise.
In the meantime, anyone with good YouTube moviemaking skills able to do a sample movie of the texture pack or whatnot? Would be extremely grateful, but no biggie.
Update:
More messing around with wheat, let me know. Seems too bright.
More messing around with [email protected]%!%^ lightstone.
Fixed wet/dry soil for planting. Looks more like soil now.
A couple of minor little fixes.
]I'd love to do a video for you. Do you have any specific information for me to include in the video, or is that totally up to me to decide?
Heck no, man. Do whatever you want :smile.gif: Just thought it would be nice to have a little YouTube clip up on the OP of the texture pack in action. Hopefully it can have fancy effects, lights, etc. so it looks nicer, and I think the Biome-Colored sidegrass mod is a must, something that should be inherent to the game, but whatever... I know some people don't like using mods when they play.
But honestly, do whatever you want :smile.gif: Would be awesome.
