Maybe I'm a complete moron and doing something entirely incorrect but every time I unpack the zip file so I can swap out the terrain for the alternate, then compress it (after installing a fresh copy of MC and running the patcher) Basico is still greyed out when I re-launch the game.
I don't get it. I just want to use the alternate ore without having to cut and paste them manually. I only have Photoshop (Mac) and it's a bit time consuming and easier to just use the alternate terrain.png but what am I doing wrong?

Kat, don't uncompress anything. Download the zip file and download the terrain.png from the first page. Then just insert that png into the zip file. Done.
Ah, well there's my problem. I don't know if this is different for Windows, but on Mac OS - I can't do that unless I open it. Neither Stuffit nor Archive Utility will allow me to browse the file or add to it without opening it fully.
Is there any program you know of for Mac that might let me do that? Stuffit Deluxe will but it's not free, sadly. I'll see about finding one myself if not.
Edit: There's a 7zip of sorts for Mac, so I'll give it a go.
Oh for goodness sake. It took forever, but I managed to snag WinZip for Mac and do it. Thank you for the clarification at least, sorry if I'm a bit of a pain in the butt lol. <3
The "OptiFog+Optimine" Mod also enables the ability to use HD Textures, HD Fonts, and Better Grass (just like the HD Patcher does, which is no longer needed if you use "OptiFog+Optimine" instead). However, unlike the HD Patcher, the OptiFog+Optimine Mod additionally gives you a huge speed performance boost regardless of whether or not you're on a slow or fast computer. Also unlike the HD Patcher, it also allows you to tweak a lot of other aesthetic settings such as enabling additional effects or modifying cloud heights and fog distance, animations, smooth lighting, etc, etc. Even if you enable all of the fanciest/best graphic settings with this, the mod still gives you a huge speed performance boost. So, I highly recommend using this one instead. In fact, it has allowed people to use higher-pixel texture packs that they weren't able to use before due to the speed of their computer.
Make sure you try the Multi-Threaded "MT" version first. If you have any problems for some odd reason, you can always try the Non-Multi-Threaded version instead. The Multi-Threaded version should still work fine on your computer (including an additional performance tweak or two) even if your computer's processor is not multi-core.
I absolutely love this texture pack. I hope you update it for 1.8!
Thanks alot Flem. And yes, I absolutely will be updating this for 1.8. I'll also be finishing up Realistico, but I'm waiting on 1.8 for that. Basico is still my bread and butter :smile.gif:
It seems that when it rains, instead of actual rain drops, it's just white walls that block your view, switch to another texture pack, rain is back to normal (1.7.3)
Other than that, beautiful pack. Very Modernesque, smooth and flowing
Editing in that I got it working correctly. Don't know what the issue there was, but generating a new world seems to have solved it
You don't actually need the HD MCPatcher for HD Textures, HD Fonts, and/or Better Grass.
You can use the OptiFog+Optimine Mod instead.
It has been renamed to "OptiFine."

That's nice and all, personally I prefer MCPatcher, much cleaner install, simple to use and I can quickly add
the mods that I make by simply adding the zip file via MCPatcher.
All of which just takes a minute or two.
I really love this texture pack, hope you're able to figure out those few puzzling textures soon. :smile.gif:

Though WinZip for Mac is pretty nice, even if it's only a trial.
NOT true. :tongue.gif:

Been working on 1.8 this weekend, got most of it done. A couple of items and mainly blocks that I can't figure out wtf they are, but most is in place.
