CUSTOMIZER You can use the customizer to use lower resolution textures, basically to convert it to 64x resolution, or lower.
DESCRIPTION:
I tried to do something extremely clean and simple, like many have already done with the 16x texture packs. A mixture of simple, semi-realistic textures and some imaginative ones as well. It's really something I'm working on for personal use, but felt like sharing. It's mainly for 128x, even though it is simple, as I feel it gives me more flexibility to add details here and there. Any positive criticism is always appreciated, and if you don't like it, don't post. Thanks!
RECOMMENDED MODS:
The More Paintings! MOD. It doubles the amount of paintings you can use, and makes switching between them MUCH easier. Basico's art file is optimized for the Xtreme edition of the mod.
The Water Shader MOD. It basically makes the water in Minecraft look, well, like water. Brilliant work.
If it's simple, I'd recommend you use a lower resolution just so it doesn't lag in game, but other than that, it's for your own personal use, so I'd say go about however you like.
I don't like the trees very much at all. Especially the leaves.
Otherwise. BEAUTIFUL
What is that white block thing in the tower?
And how did you get the beautiful 4 corner windows?
Or... am I terribly off-proportioned. That tower looks very large, but if that window is one block, it is much smaller.
Turnip: I'll take a better screenshot of the windows for you later, I'm still not 100% happy with them. The tower is actually my lighthouse, which you're currently seeing only half of, and the white blocks are cloth. The leaves...meh, I'll post another shot of my alternate leaves. Leaves have been my 3rd toughest block to draw, next to water and @)$(%* lightstone. I'm content with the leaves now, and I might even prefer the alternate leaves, we'll see. But thanks.
Soulscribe: I can't explain how much I despise 16x textures, even the simple ones. People have done awesome work with them, but I just can't get over the pixelated 1986 feel. I'm running with minimal lag now that Notch fixed the lag bug with Beta, so I'm super happy with the 128x. My previous and only texture pack was Doku's, and I tried all the 128x out there, but I'm just not a big fan of the realistic ones. You, Copperdomebodha, CFerill and some others did some kickass work with 128x, but I prefer the simple "cartoonish" feel more. I'm looking for any advice and/or criticism just to see if something someone says helps to make any of the blocks better for me. Thanks.
Well I like the way the vector leaves look. Maybe you can do a 128x cartoony vector style pack. With the new wild grass mod, I'd actually like to see blades of grass pop up from that solid green with a vector look.
I'm still playing with the leaves, Vivid. Something about them still doesn't feel right for me either. I keep trying out more "realistic" looking leaves, but meh. I'll post some comparison shots of the different leaves later.
One suggestion I would make would to add a background to the leaf blocks that are used on the fast setting. Otherwise you are able to look through the earth.

Not sure if you wanted more specs. Is it really that bad on yours?
Again! :biggrin.gif:
Also, when will you post the link? I'd love to see how it looks in-game.
