I was wondering is someone could make a texture pack where everything looks like it's made of crystal? I got the idea from Rhodox's Christmas Painterly pack, where the stone is ice and has this lovely, translucent look.

I could probably do the items, but could somone please make the terrain?

I would prefer plain old 16x16 for the size, McPatcher dislikes me. If you want to though 32x32 is ok too.

Also, thanks for the support, my last texture pack attempt never got any replies lol.

I am doing it 32x32, for that was the template I use. And I also have the dirt, stone, grass, and dirt w/ grass.

Hopeful bump! Anyone else think this pack is a good idea? If so keep it alive, I don't want this to get lost in the myriad of texture packs.

Yes,YES,OH YES.A crystal planet would be so very sexy.I agree with OP,the christmas alts for Painterly are awesome when you think about it:the ground isn't stone;it's a planet made of ice.Zombies should be crystal-golems of some sort,skeletons should shoot arrows with crystal tips and diamond should be green.This will be so very cool.

but the question is, does minecraft support semi transparency?

Minecraft doesn't handle semi-transparency (I know, I've tried) but the ice from A Very Painterly Christmas just looks translucent, even though you cannot see through it.

Also, I think it would be cool for creepers to be VERY hard to see, the same texture as grass or solid stone so they blend right in to the landscape or cave walls.

Sorry for the double post, but I really don't want this to die.

I was just redownloading painterly.. and i saw those new ice things and i was like "ohz awesomz"
Then i was like "Wouldnt it be cool if everything had snow and the world was made of ice?!?!?
