That obsidian is extremely cool looking. Would you be able to post a YouTube video (or find someone else who is willing to) so we can see what the pack looks like in action, so to speak?
Cool pack. I, as well, feel the same way you do about packs with everything one solid color, and this is a nice break.
Though, if it's possible, could you make the portal swirls some sort of burgundy color? It seems like that would work a lot better with the molten obsidian.
Well now that Xau added custom portals, yes, I should be able to.

Updated, replaced every 1-13 texture save for the cake. Thanks to everyone for 1020 downloads.
A birch tree.
Sandstone is designed to easily double as flooring, as well as walls.

Just a note that the white wool looks a bit out of place now that there are more colours.
perhaps if you made it the black wool and did the others in the same way so, colour of the wool with white corners it would make a realy nice effect.
Nice idea, although I decided to go a different route with simple yet decorative designs.
Dispensers are also simple soda bottle vending machines.
this looks awsome, i would download just for that obasabian but then you had me at the first image
I agree, but I believe that that's the ONLY good thing, coal looks like crap, and pretty much all the blocks that I saw that are usually found with a bunch around it tile like crap. You can haz this for your troubles:

I respect your opinion. I know I can't please everyone, but I will try and fix up coal since the blurriness seems to bother quite a few people.

This pack is a great example of what can be done with 16p. I mean this is just gorgeous!

Hey, I'm trying to not ba a ****, I'm just giving you my opinion. Now if you wanna check out a truly AWESOME texture pack, search up scribblecraft. And you can learn how to tile from that pack, it's hand drawn and tiles badassly!

I wasn't trying to imply that I thought you were being a ****. Just that I respect your opinion and will take your advice on the coal.
I really don't see the tiling issues though. Unless you mean the grass, which I've been meaning to re-work.

Telling the designer of a realistic pack to take tips from a cartoon pack is rather like telling a long jumper to take tips from a disk thrower.
How much of this pack wasnt hand done? I highly doubt that this pack is a 5 minute rip off.
also theres giving your opinion and theres being a ****. guess what i think you are?
As a note the grass texture just needs to be more suttle realy, at the moment its the strong contrast that makes it look a bit off. (i think contrast is the right thing).
glad to see a coal update.
In retrospect, drawing a pack on paper would be much easier and faster than painstakingly creating one with different brush tools and filters on a 16 x 16 scale. It's difficult to make it look good on such a small scale. But I digress.
Thanks for the grass advice.

Sorry for an off-topic post, but I just need to ask you one thing.
This. Did you draw it yourself? If so - I'm impressed. It's even better then the last one you had.
Haha, I wish! I can sprite, but not nearly that well. I got it from a webcomic called MSPaint Adventures, along with the last 2 avatars I've had. I sprited the items in Super Mariocraft 64, if you're curious enough.

I saw them :-) Nice work. I like how you made iron armor into Mario outfit (as it's the one that i think people use the most) and the gold armor is Wario outfit (least used). But diamond armor as Luigi outfit? Luigi? Really? I think super-powered Mario's white outfit would make more sense ;-))) And I love gameboy-compass :-)
Thank you. Diamond Armor is Luigi's clothes because Luigi has always been more powerful than Mario - higher jumping, straighter fireballs, usually speedier/nicer 'stache in the RPG's... etc. In recent games such as Super Mario Galaxy, he's even been placed as a "reward" for beating the game as Mario first. I think he was suitable as Diamond Armor in that way. Plus Luigi doesn't get enough love.
Overall I just picked the characters from SM64's remake, SM64DS.
I love the Gameboy compass too, I got the idea from the Gameboy Horror's Radar function in Luigi's Mansion.

Good idea, I'll make one after my next update.
Edit:never mind works just me failing >.>

But enough about my other pack.
I don't think I'm going to make another pack until I finish this and SMC64.
If I did make a new one, I'd probably make a Kirby-related pack.
Also, thanks for 2114 downloads!
=)
Yes, but I've been very busy so it's on indefinite hiatus.
