Hey there! I've been using original MC textures for a while now, and got bored of them. so i installed painterly pack. Its a pretty good pack, but i dont like how picks and shovels and swords look. So i looked thru some other texture packs, and found SMP's tex pack-it's got awesome pickaxe shovel and sword texture. But, i dont like other items in it. So i thought why not combine the 2 items.png files- take the swords and tools from smp's texture pack, and all the other items from painterly. But its not as easy as it looks. I tried using GIMP as some people suggested that, but i do not quiet understand how to take the tools and swords out of smp's items.png and put them into painterly's items.png replacing the ones already there. Any tips? Or should i try using mspaint? Thanks in advance.
With Minecrafter you can pick and choose from multiple pack and it will piece them together for you, no editing required. This is a link to the tutorial
