It's a cool, very creative idea. However, I think this concept would work a lot better in one of the higher resolutions, so you can see not only the stitches but also the weave of all the fabrics.
Looks nice so far. I can see what you are going for, but as imapiekindaguy said, lighter stitches would look better, and perhaps adding more texture to the block (they look a little "flat" right now).
I really like this pack! I have to agree with the above posts! Lighter stitches! I like how most everything has stitches which kinda gives it a unified look, I really enjoy you pack! :biggrin.gif: Please keep up the wonderful work!
As always, I'm incredibly grateful for every comment I get as they can only help to improve my work.
I've been busy revising recently so not put as much effort in as I'd like to, but here's a sneak preview of my current work.
The items pictured are the ores/dust and armour shapes that I've done so far.Though only shown for leather I have recoloured both items across all materials.
The idea is that you are mining threads from the stone (think iron wool, etc) which is then woven into your clothing. (Winter hats / jumpers etc.)
On a slight side note: I totally agree that this pack would look amazing done up in 128x but I've never used a texture pack of that size and so haven't got the patch installed to try and design a pack along those lines. I'll keep it in mind for when my current packs get completed down the line. I may do some testing in the 128x png file in the mean time but wont be able to test myself until down the line.
Holy Jeebus, those look amazing! Definitely keep on going with this. Very creative
And about the resolution, in my opinion, this pack doesn't really need the 128p. Honestly, 32p should be fine if you want to keep the cartoony feel to it.

hm, true 32 would allow me to stick to the feel while giving me enough pixels to do something amazing.
Would solve many of my problems i'm having with the ores blocks. Currently I've got to:
Whew, hadn't previously appreciated how few pixels there are in the armour.
Stone armour currently looks as so:
No Idea how to make the bobble for the winter hat but I've given the bottom edge some shaping.
Sleeves are now full length to reflect that it's a jumper.
Built a new pc so have installed a 32x pack on there, while my main pc will be kept on the 16x.
This means that I can now work on a 32x pack on this pc, and continue the 16x on my main.
So some items may begin to appear in new 32x in this thread. It's my hope that I'll be able to end this project with both packs fully done.

Wow, this looks much better than the first screen imo. I really like, especially the items, the ores look amazing.

Check out My City Journal if you are needing some inspiration!
I've been playing with 32x size today.
While no means finalised textures, more just playing. here's an image of what i've been up to.
Only textures i'm truely happy with right now are wood and half stone, and maybe grass/dirt but the others are highly likely to change.
Woah, sexy! I love the dirt, grass, and sand, perfect for this style in my opinion.
I'm not too fond of the logs, looks too much like a checkerboard.
And not that I'm trying to tell you exactly what to do with your own texture pack, but I honestly think that the cobblestone has a little too much variation in colors.
Again, great idea for a texture pack, keep it up

this is the other pack based off my simplicity set.
The theme is stitching, so the idea is that the blocks appear to be sewn together.
It's rather hard to achieve using only 16x16 though.
Please take a look and let me know what you think.
One day the pig hopes to grow up to be a block.
And if anyone wants to try running around in it:
Version 0.01
I'll take everything into account as I work on going over everything.
