Are you aware that Mooncraft is missing textures for horses, hoppers, Redstone blocks, boats, and a couple other things?
If by 'missing' you mean I haven't done them yet, then yes. I probably should add a bit more info in terms of how 'complete' the packs are.
I'm still trying to decide what direction I want to take the horses. I'd like to make land speeders out of them, but the sight of a pack of speeders grazing would be ... odd.

Metalcraft doesn't seem to be working. I downloaded the latest version and put in my resource pack folder, but it isn't showing up in the "select resource pack" screen.

Sorry it looks like the version I had uploaded was missing a comma in the pack.mcmeta file. I've fixed that and re-uploaded it.

Did some work on Mooncraft for the latest snapshot. Download
Apparently large portions of the lunar surface are actually covered in corrugated iron.
No one is quite sure what led to the formation of these fused ash spires.
When Automated Antenna Arrays go Awry!
Who created these large hydroponics arrays and why?
Lunar 'seas.' Now with more rocks!
Even more plants in their own mini-domes. Also the mold has been scrubbed from the BIRCH containment units.
Not featured in this post:
Yet more rocks. (Dead shrubs and ferns now have their own unique textures.)
Horrible slime. (Don't ask me what happened to the swamps. If you don't like the horrible green, tell Mojang to fix it. Also, mesas are a horrible brown. X_X)
Removal of all 'default' textures from within the pack. (I think I've finally stripped out all of Mojang's art that got carried over from the unsticher.)

How's the stained-glass force-fields coming along, mate? The rest above is looking spiffing and great fun! Mesa biomes look...shall way say 'interesting' in my worlds, but look rather more fun in yours.
I've added force fields (stained glass) to Mooncraft.
I didn't feel like trying to make an animated gif out of screen shots so you will just have to take my word for the fact that it flickers in the game.
That's going to be amazing!
Would it be possible to use pistons on stained glass to make the force-fields drop out of the way? And thinking about force-fields swishing out of the way, have you thought of adding the Star Trek sound of the Enterprise 'swishing doors' to your pistons? Then when used with the force-field stained glass it would look and sound the part...or use some other kind of de-activating force-field sound instead.
I think the stained glass is the best thing that's been added in an update so far (from an architectural point of view). I love the way the glass panes and blocks actually have two sides (even though it is just a repeat) as it really adds depth and effect where it's needed.

Can't wait to see your force-field in action.
Actually, I've been using the /setblock command on command blocks to toggle the field on and off. You can do some really crazy stuff with that now. Hmm... with the /playsound command it wouldn't be that hard to play that swish noise along with toggling the blocks.
Some day I'd like to make an adventure map with all this stuff but that would require two three things. An idea for an adventure map, time and approval from my wife.
I'm pretty sure attaching a guidance control system directly to a rocket module is one of the less sane ways to travel but boy is it fast.
---
My base model for horses in Mooncraft. I've still got to do the tack and mule/donkey variations as well as all of the various ion shields (armor), paint jobs (base patterns) and scuff marks/dents (overlays).
PS. For the curious, yes, those are actual screenshots from the game using the texture pack. Coal blocks are pure black in the pack making them a useful backdrop for things like this. (also handy when you want to have space outside a window without having to build out in the void or away from everything else) The main downside to them though is that it's hard to see where you are building. I swapped to the default pack to build my horse box and then back to Mooncraft for grabbing the pics.

That's excellent!
Any mileage in having wires/pipes/ hanging down a short way using the redundant legs, or are you going for the sleek look? It looks good fun not having to take the literal approach to making horses, with no end to the designs you could come up.

Ooh... I hadn't considered dangling wires and such. That would be good with some of the more banged up versions I want to do. I was going for something vaguely similar to the speeder bikes from Star Wars.

I wasn't wanting to necessarily draw comparisons with Star Wars, in case it caused offence, but that's what they put me in mind of too. Also the racer 'thingies' in the 'Phantom Menace' movie.
Horse sounds will have to be changed for exhaust bangs, grinding noises and hums, etc. Then when you wallop them with a spanner they'll give an appropriate hi-(or futuristic lo) tech noise.
They're going to look hilarious jostling around tethered up in the parking area.

They're called podracers. And I bet they'll look awesome in MC.
