My Simplification of the textures is far enough along now that I can start to create the two texture packs which I originally had in mind when I started out.

I'll be finishing the simplicity pack before I start to dedicate much time to this pack but a pre-view of the pack will be building up here as i work on it.

I've done the ores and figured I'd post a pic now.

Not a lot of files done right now but I figured I should start adding a link.

Sorry for another post but edit doesn't seem to be working today.

For this pack to work a few textures have needed to be swapped out to things that don't entirely make sense in the crafting of them.
So far the wooden walls are wood, the paper walls are bricks, the bamboo flooring is half stairs.

Looks really simple. I like it.

by the way, does anyone know how to edit the colour of the leaves? editing foliage colour file doesn't do anything.

You edit the leaf colors as normal, but make the foliagecolor.png completely transparent. Then replace the original foliagecolor.png with the transparent one. This will make it so no biome colors will be applied. The same can be done for grass by making grasscolor.png transparent.

No, using my knowlege of Japanese.
I had to take a liberty with diamond and red stone as you can't fit enough letters on the block.
Diamond is written in katakana as ダイヤモンド or abbreviated as ダイヤ neither of which fit so I chose to use the symbol for gem, 玉.
Red stone again would really struggle to fit as it would translate literally as 赤い石 so I just used the red part, 赤.
Gold is the symbol for gold, 金.
Coal is the symbol for coal, 炭.
and iron is the symbol for iron, 鉄.

I've been working on a replacement for the torch. Unfortunately the limitation of how torches are rendered makes it hard to get a good one.

Do you mind updating this for Beta 1.3? I really like it but it's incompatible now that I have updated. And a suggestion if you are, make the bed a piece of Tatami mat and a pillow.
