I like your texture pack because its very vibrant and simple, and I've used your older versions a lot.
But there a few things I don't like about the newest version:
- The new breaking animation. I liked the old circular bar because it let me know exactly when a block would break. I thought it was really useful, especially for mining or renovation.
- How much whiter sandstone is compared to regular sand. I like the brick design but I think it should be the same color as sand.
- The design of the bucket. It looks like a tin can. And I don't like the patterns on signs.
- Some items are too bright. Sugarcane looks like neon green, redstone and diamond seem to have lost a lot of detail because of the hue.
can you bring back the break status circle? i loved that and when it went away i died a little inside. also favorite pack, i reccomend it to everyone. really the olny pack that adds a graphical improvement but retains the over all retro look and 8bit feel. thanks for making it!
All textures used, other than the MineBar textures, were made by dr higgle tiggle. I do not take any credit for those textures nor have any of them been altered in any way.
MineBar
I did some messing around with the texture to put in a "loading bar" (sort of like the old circular one) but kept it more... blockesque I guess.
Anyways, here they are:
MineBar
Preview:
MineBar Light

Installation:
Right click and save the image of the version of MineBar you would like as "terrain.png" (not the preview picture.)
Open Minecraft
Login in and go to Main Menu
Click the "Mods and Texture Packs" button.
Click "Open texture pack folder"
Open the Cube Craft texture pack zip file.
Copy and paste the version of Minebar that you saved and renamed to "terrain.png" into the Cube Craft texture pack folder, allowing it to overwrite the old terrain.png.
Congratulations, you now have MineBar!
I also have a few main menu backgrounds I pulled from Cube Craft.
To install these, you must right click one of the pictures below and save it as "background.png"
Go to your Cube Craft texture pack zip file (see instructions above) and open it, then open the "gui" folder inside of it.
Copy and paste the image you saved as "background.png" into that location and allow it to overwrite the old background.png.
When your game starts, the menu should be of the texture you saved.
Cobblestone
Dirt
Grass
Sand
Stone
Wood
Note:
When saving the picture name as either "terrain.png" or "background.png", make sure it is all in LOWER CASE! Or it will not overwrite for some reason.

Do like! I've never seen a countdown one before, pretty genius actually, and the square does seem very befitting for this mod, great job.

im going to release a v4.1 later this week with a better terrain.png, it will include a decent breaking animation and Tracks, cloth,Solid ore blocks and sandstone by the Faaantastic qweets!

oh im so adding this to the OP
oh and i have decided on the breaking animation, its going to be a progress bar but it will also light the square up so you can see it at night,
has anyone found the secret mob skin yet? or will i have to tell you guys again...
im going to update the preview pictures in the op with new ones later today or tommorow
oh and the items are not meant to have much detail at all by the way but i will change some coulors and change the diamond to look more like the original and signs will be changed
the fancy creeper? i found it but you told us about that. the art work is kinda funny too, made me smile. i think the arrows are kinda penisy... and the creepers are a bit flat. maybe some spots or markings?
*Edit:
been running for about an hour now and came across ice. could stand to be a bit clearer or blue/whiter either way. and have some spots like the snow imo.

Hahaha, I don't think I have ever seen someone use the word "Penisy" before for an andjective
My try at glass, I prefer it as it stays true to the original look. After trying a few normal approaches i realized for me glass without transparency just wont do this texture pack justice. I doubt this will be used cause it requires a separate file to be compiled with, but i gave it my 2 cents. I left the texture and url to the transparency mod below if anyone else takes a liking to the look.

Curse PremiumThat glass work is pretty awesome, I'll have to give it a try.
And I agree with the doors, they do need reworking. Maybe make the iron door look a little more... Intimidating?
