I plan to at least revive the RPG style of Doku rather than succumb to the simple, super-realistic, or default colored texture packs. This texture pack features a more fantasy-color scheme.
Every block replaced is newly created pixel by pixel. None of the blocks are copy pasted besides the ones I haven't done. I will release the texture pack when I am finished or with a little leeway.
What Need be done(editing-wise): Iron, Gold, Diamond Block done
Beds, Redstone slabs, edits.
Download Information: Texture pack mixed with Eld's and Gerdoku's items and animals to serve as place holders.
If you want to hand me compensation: Please take one screenshot and tick it to this thread!
I prefer pictures of the new trees, cool houses, and other stuff :biggrin.gif:

Actually I was looking at your last picture and I noticed a few things that might need fixing (if you want)
You should try to get rid of those lines on the sides of the redstone ore, or else it wont tile well with stone.
Also I think I see some lines between blocks in the sand texture, you should fix that so it looks smoother.
Just trying to help, sorry if those were there on purpose, they just look a bit awkward
This looks amazing. My only complaint is how dark everything looks. You don't suppose you could lighten things up a bit? I can't wait until this is available.
How exactly did you "embrace the doku-style"? All these texture are taken directly from his pack and all you've done are a few half-assed edits. The grass on the side looks out of place, the colors are awkward and lifeless, the sand tiles really bad and looks extremely out of place against the other blocks, the wood looks ok but all you did is shift a few pixels up by a pixel, the half steps are the same, the bookcase is the same, the trees are the same, the dirt is the same, the wool is the same, the workbench edit doesn't look good and the yellow things in the corners look out of place again, torches are the same, the flowers are the same, the cobble looks slightly out of place and I think I've seen that before somewhere. If you're going to just take someone's pack and edit a few things do not give it a name and call it your pack...

I might release it half finished, but here's a preview
Don't listen to people like that, I really like this pack and will wait for the release with anticipation.

Hmm. So here is what I have absorbed from your rant which has no evidence whatsoever.
1. I TOOK Doku's textures and edited a very low percentage of the work
2. Colors are lifeless, Sand's bad, trees, workbench doesn't look good
3. Trees are the same, torches are the same, flowers are the same, wool is the same
4. Half steps are the same, dirt is the same
5. I stole the cobble texture
With your rank you seem like a very respected and active person on your forum, but you wrongly accuse a person of fraud without having true evidence. Frankly, your rant pisses me off. "Colors are bland, sand's bad, etc." Fine, I can take it that's proper criticism. You say that I STOLE Doku's work spending half-assed and little to no time making small edits to upload as my own content. Probably the most douche bag thing to say IMO. Please let me enlighten you as I know you can take counter-criticism. I decided to whip up my evidence to why I did not half ass this project while honestly I spent days making this, and if you don't like it fine, but to say that I stole this work is very ignorant of you. And please let me inform you that THIS WORK IS HALF - FINISHED. Of course I'm not going to take Doku's credit for the torch, flowers, bookcase, and wool if I release it. His texture was there because that's what I use for the texture map, and I don't want blank boxes for the parts I did not complete. The only texture I have closely based on Doku are the logs, but I promise I didn't just recolor any aspect of his work.
I spend time and time again to place every single dot on every single pixel trying to be precise as possible rather than the evident action of blurring Google images. So, call my texture ugly, bland and disgusting, but you have no right to say I stole his work while I have 300 layers of PSD to prove otherwise.
well done ayun, i swear people get more ignorant the longer they spend on these forums.
if i might say a few things,
the grass seems a bit too washed out for me, but perhaps this is what you were going for. that and the chests have a little too much pop, but its a bit different, and the general consensus is good (so its probably just me)
for praise, i say, **** YEAH, hahaha sick ores mate, they look fantastic, and the refined wood, great also.
I very much look forward to the release of this pack.
Thanks Dorian! I might make different color schemes and tints at release
I can change things if i dont like them anyway. Its just nice to see someone inspired (not thieving) by someone else's great work, and then making their own from it. :smile.gif:
oh, I'm sorry haha. My brightness is too low
I see that you're not just recoloring some stuff from other people's pack, so I'm sorry about that. When I first looked at it I thought everything looked exactly like Doku's
Either way, I see you're going with a sort of reddish tint to it which I like. The side grass and dirt still don't match, mostly cause of the different colors as well as the sudden change from grass to dirt, which I'm guessing you're still working on. The sand obviously tiles bad but I guess you're also still working on that as well.
