Strange Worlds is a Science Fiction makeover for Minecraft and my submission to the Webhallen contest. It turns your green medieval world into a purple alien moon orbiting a gas giant. Reptilians, giant insects, and deadly robots replace your pigs, sheep, and monsters. The plants are like nothing you've ever seen. Pulling elements from films like Forbidden Planet, everything from your armor and items to gui and textures has been reskinned to give you a strange new world to explore!
(I've done away with the purple grass for now until there is better support for custom biome colors.)

-Removed purple grass in favor of default biome colors (for now).
-Changed dirt, sand, and gravel to new, more alien colors (looks slightly lunar now).
-Changed Creepers to robots.
-Changed Zombies to have alien pumpkin monster heads.
V 1.1:
- Updated to comply with Beta 1.2
- Changed cacti to green to fit dyes
- Cleaned up some block designs
Everything should be in order for Beta 1.3. As always, let me know if I missed anything.
Do we stick this texture pack in the texture pack folder or what?
Yes, the .zip can go in the texture pack folder. The only thing you have to change are biome color files in the misc folder. I'll edit the main post for clarity.
Absolutely stunning, I love this theme. One of the most creative and well done themed packs I've seen. The flora is astounding, the mobs and items are unique and engaging. I love exploring this one!
Wow. Great pack! I was expecting a more realistic look but what I got was a more "cartoonish" look that also reminds me of the sci-fi games from the early 90's. Awesome.

perhaps you should make some crazy alien plants for the better grass mod too? if it gets updated.

That is my first thought as my ship, the SS pizza crashes into the surface of an unknown planet.
As I escape the wreckage I see two abducted cows and an island of stone floating in the air.
I also see two suns rising from an ocean.
What other surprises await me?

this is my second thought as I try to make a wool dye.
Not too much longer to wait! Work has been steady and quick so far.
