I just downloaded a standard copy of DokuCraft to test compatibility between an unmodified, unpatched Minecraft client and a higher resolution pack. Turns out, by theory on official support isn't quite true. The water and lava textures are still unsupported, and the sides of items etc. don't render properly.
Also, the mobs themselves, while having more detailed features, look a bit strange still being cubes - just, highly detailed cubes. The cubiness is something I've learned to skirt around with my [16x] version, and frankly, I like that I've figured out little tricks here and there.
The point being, I'm not about to swap up my pack for one that requires a patch to use. If and when that issue gets officially resolved, then this conversation about [16x] or [32x] can maybe continue. For now, I'm keeping to what you all know and love.
Thanks for the input guys, and sorry about the false start.
Combining the carves? Did you mean taking the grooves I textured and applying them to things like Iron or Gold blocks, or what?
So you see how the blocks look when together? I was thinking that it would be neat if it could all connect into one block. Though, now that I look at it, it doesn't seem quite possible.

It could easilly be made to have the ridges connect all around, having the pattern carry on uninterrupted, but I couldn't have four swirls going different directions, no.
But, I dunno. That looks pretty rad as is, if I may say so.
All right... I need to actually get this dragon done. But to do that, i need to figure out how the heck it's put together. Then villagers and shadow mobs all need to be updated so something that isn't a solid colour.
Wow, it's been a while since I posted on this forum. The texture pack is looking awesome, and now you even have a customizer :). And your butcher looks awesome, I seen right away that it was blood on his apron.
On a side note, I should probably redo my avatar and signature. I think I'll do that now.

Hey - nice to see you again, Drake.
I could use your eye with areas for improvement, as always.
Just had a look around my world with your texture pack, time for some constructive critisism. The latch on the oak chest is a bit too noisey, maybe a solid gold color would work? Or perhaps less contrast. And the bottom design on the iron cell door looks like an 8, not sure if this is intentional but I dont like it too much, but perhaps that's just me. That's all that I have right now, keep up the good work.

Curse PremiumThe blacksmith also has an apron, but it's black, and he's not so lily white either.
Haha, whoops. I assumed the red was burns and what not

Curse PremiumOak Chest Latches have been fixed.
Still waiting for the customizer to sort itself out... I can't even upload my Ocelot skins yet.
Methinks tech support might be required.
