And that (Points to post above) is exactly why I did what I did.
Creepy. Nightmare. Faces in the darkness. <3
You have me positively paranoid about creepers. I am getting fairly good at distinguishing their lack of sound, but still, these things are freaking INVISIBLE until they look right at you. By the time you have recovered the mouse from where you flung it during the moment of terror, it is all over.

Short in the blade, or short in the hilt? I can't make the blade any longer, sadly. Only so many pixels wide/high.
All I could do would be to thin out the blade to give the illusion of it being longer, but I'm not sure if that helps.
I thought the hilt was a bit long compared to the blade. Making the blade thinner might also work.

I think the hilt's about as short as it can be, without having your cross guard stick out from between the guy's fingers. :tongue.gif: However, I'll give it a look, as well as the blade-thinning idea. Might change, might not - but it will be vigorously examined.
Please update this texture pack for 1.6 :sad.gif: it's the only one I use.
I've already mostly finished the update. Just finishing out the day at work, then home for a couple final tweaks, and it'll be out before the night is done. :smile.gif:
Have no fear, my lovelies! Grass, maps, and hatches are imminent.
I've also just come to understand that biome colour files now read properly, and I can change the bloody grass, foliage, and water colours as I see fit.
Why would you do that, dave.
Now I'm going to spend a very, very long time with colour swatches, making each region unique and awesome in it's own right.
Anyone particularly like or dislike my changing of dead shrubs to dried grass?
Does the wild grass look okay? The bushes?
Do we all like how hatches came out?
And maps?
And map markers?
Do you still love me, or have I gotten too fat for you? :mellow.gif:
Lookin' awesome. Great job.
Haven't seen the grass, though. I'm stuck in my base until I can remove my water ladder XD.
Only one thing. The new trapdoors kinda look like wooden waffles.
Yeah, not that great.
Other than that, great job!
Hey, man - Wooden waffles are DELICIOUS. Don't go knockin' em until you... Something.
I know what you mean, but I honestly kinda like that they look a bit more mesh-y. The original plank ones were okay for pirate ships and gladiator pits, but I wanted something to mesh with the rest of the pack.
Not unwilling to revise, but I'd need a really good idea.

I can see what you mean by that. Personally, I like wooden waffles too, but they seem kinda out-of place. Maybe that's just because I use them next to stone.
Maybe make the mesh/iron/mystery metal stand out a bit more? From far away, the mesh effect is lost. But hey, it's your texture pack, and you can decide if it needs to be changed.
Also, ghasts. Bleh. Looks less like a floating squid and more like a creepy-old-man face. Not good. Would really appreciate if you changed it! Thanks!

Lovin everything else though, awesome job.
I'll take a look at the grates again, and see if anything inspiring hits me. :tongue.gif:
Also, ghasts ARE rather ghastly. I'm aware of this. They're next on the chopping block of change, only being held off on because I don't know what to do with them... I'm thinking of a kind of floating mesh of veins and eyes, transparent in places so they shift and writhe as they fly about. Perhaps? A little creepier than a floating baby face, and better than a 2D head spacing about.
